I bought this instead of a glass jar, bc I have a toddler. Seems nice enough. It can comfortably hold a 10lb bag of flour from Costco. Came with a small dent on the bottom with a red scuff mark, but it's not enough for me to care to return. The metal 'plates' that hold the handles look like the corners aren't secured to the body of the container (see attached photos), but it seems to hold 10lbs of flour without any give or wiggling, so we'll see, I guess.Clasps seem sturdy and holds the lid firmly in place. The lid itself has a silicone gasket, which I appreciate. It does have some Chinese letters on the side. I don't know what it says, as I speak a different Pacific Rim language, but I wish they weren't there. But again, not enough of an issue for me to return. All in all, a worthwhile buy.

I bought this very large stainless steel storage container to keep 12-1/2 pounds of stone ground whole grain corn meal in the freezer as the meal has the germ and oil which will spoil if not refrigerated. It has worked perfectly.

It's been a cold winter and 2 mice got into our bird seed and suet which were stored in our pantry in original packaging. Never again! This container was expensive but worth it. The tight fitting lid ensures no pests can get inside. It's durable. I bought the 33L which is roomy enough for us to place several bags of seed and packages of suet.

You can store large bags of rice easliy. I consider this a excellent value for a reasonable price. It keeps your dryer goods fresh as advertised.

Arrived as oily as the identical product sold under the Konkenie brand. The oily residue is not evident until you run a tissue along the surface or over the silicone ring. It’s worst on the ring and in creases. The oily residue is an undesirable by-product of steel processing but the resulting odor is a serious problem for the maturation and long-term storage of tea. Most people buy this for coffee and rice - no problem there. But puerh tea may be maturing for decades and any odor will be absorbed and clearly discernible in the cup.Washing with a dish soap or vinegar did reduce the amount of oily residue but not remove much of the odor. Ultimately, the only solution I found was to bake the container in the oven above 400’F. Not only did that remove all odor but it also cleaned all fingerprints and thickened the chromium oxide layer, imparting a lovely hint of a golden hue onto the steel surface.Unfortunately the silicone ring has to be cleaned by water-based surfactants and let out to dry and lose odor that way.The chromium oxide layer is a natural protectant of steel against oxidation and thickening it further improves this protection. It also makes it easier to clean. Therefore I recommmedn heat-treating this product. If you wish to restore the original look, just wipe down with vinegar.Otherwise a great, aesthetically appealing container.

I bought this item for my crow food to keep out mice/ants, and it works great. At first the seal kept falling out, but after using it for a couple weeks, it broke in, and is no longer a problem, now stays seated in the lid. Would definitely buy again.

Finally, a solution to outdoor storage of bird seed, a squirrel and rat proof container. This canister is very well made with a good weathertight seal and three robust latches. It's a bit pricey but the materials are very high quality and it should last for years outside. I'm happy; can't say the same for the squirrels.
