What kind of telescope is DWARF II? Why is it different from the telescopes I've seen?

The shape of the DWARF II is special. Because we use a periscope structure to lower the center of its gravity and enhance its stability. This structure makes DWARF II look different from other telescopes.

How does DWARF II take deep space objects?

It consists of the following there steps: 1). Focus. Locate the star in wide-angle view, and bring it into telephoto view (green box), click "+" "-" or auto-focus to complete focusing. 2). Calibration. DWARF II will automatically shoot 3 images of the sky, and based on these 3 images the current attitude, tilt, and orientation of the DWARF II can be calculated. 3.) Auto GOTO. DWARF II has a star atlas integration which confirms observed stars and enables automatic tracking. It GOTO deep space objects automatically. Each star's trajectory has been solved for easy tracking.

What deep space photos can DWARF II Shoot?

Based on the parameters of the camera, DWARF II is suitable for the DSOs whose angular size is above 15 arc minutes and the apparent magnitude is below 9, such as NGC2264, NGC5128, NGC6960, NGC1499, M6, M7, M8, M16, M17, M20, M41, M42, M44, M45, M81, M101, IC4604. As long as the cumulative exposure time is long enough and the sky tracking is stable, the weak signals of the nebula can be accumulated, and a variety of nebulae can be photographed.

Does DWARF II support fast charging?

DWARF II supports a maximum charging power of 18W PD fast charging protocol. When the power adapter supports 18W fast charging and the data cable is USB-C to USB-C, DWARF II will charge quickly.

It is not often that I will rate something with five stars. I have been an amateur astronomer for over 60 years. Yes, I am old LOL. This telescope/camera is simply fascinating. No need to star hop to find an object. I have taken stacked images of Messier objects and other astronomical items that I was never able to locate back decades ago. There is a learning curve, but be patient and watch some good you tube videos on the Dwarf 2 and you'll soon be wondering the night skies along with our sun and moon. The Dwarf 2 is awesome in that you can set it up outdoors, sit inside where it's warm, drink your coffee and photograph the heavens. This helps an old geezer like me because I live in northern Indiana where it's cold and crummy most of the year :-)The Dwarf 2 takes very nice photos of the sun and moon along with even more detailed imagery of both bodies when you "stack" the images. NEVER look directly at the sun and never aim the Dwarf2 at the sun without first adding the 2 1,000,000 neutral density filters. The Dwarf 2 is capable of time - lapse which will be pretty cool during the upcoming solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.My area is laden with light pollution and the UHC ( Ultra High Contrast ) filter does amazingly well to filter this issue.I would recommend that if you choose to purchase the Dwarf2 that you buy the Deluxe package. It is worth the added expense. Again, take your time learning to use this scope. It may seem overwhelming at first, but be patient it is well worth the effort. This scope/camera is light weight yet has a nice solid feel to it. A lot of engineering and design is in this scope. I am very impressed :-)

This is due by 5th or 6th or something but arrived early yesterday on the third, excellent delivery time from where it was in the world.I actually got my kid a new manual scope for christmas with new barlow etc but its got dodgy lenses and customer service is terrible and unfortunately third party. Its ok though as he has other manual ones he can use the barlow etc. Stay away from that dodgy OpticalXpress company though.I actually wanted seestar s50 but was out of stock by time that other company sent me defective goods so been using his godky barlow with other manual scope.Apparently the seestar is much better but this is quality, was for my kids christmas, we have the manual, astronomy bonoculars and this out at same time.He has apps on his phone and when attatched to tripod it finds whatever you want for you yourself and can take screenshots while its on it, its class.Unfortunately due to the winter and my location its been cloudy and grey so only got half hour last night and tonight but in those half hours it was amazing.Once the winter is over and we get the clear skies again will be out for ages with this.Fast delivery, easy to work, lightweight for carrying and bag etc, simple to assemble and attatch mini tripod. Great piece of equipment. Thanks so much

No charger or USB cord is included. A USB c cord will fit,and can be used for charging the battery and transfer of images to a computer. I haven't found instructions on how to take pictures of the night sky. That's an issue for me because I have no idea about how to go about taking pictures of stars and such. Fortunately there are You Tube videos that demonstrate how to use the Dwarf 2 to take pictures of the sky with this telescope. I am 72 years old and I grew up with old fashioned telescopes, and the first thing you learn is a good quality telescope is generally longer to image better, or larger diameter with a large mirror to gather more light to get better images of the night sky. Also the equipment is bulky, and numerous, and very expensive. This is small, inexpensive, and less complicated than the "old school " equipment that I am familiar with. I was very interested in the fact that the pictures can be stacked to obtain cleaner more detailed images with such a small light weight telescope. I can't wait to take pictures of the night sky. Unfortunately, I live near a large city with extensive lighting at night. The light is good for security but not for viewing the stars. This means I have to drive to get away from the lights, but the equipment I need is all in one small bag, and that's a good thing. It makes it easier to take with me wherever I go. I will update this when I get the chance to take pictures with the telescope and view the images.I think that if the app were to have a interactive tutorial that would take the user step by step through the photo taking experience while in that tutorial.

What a great portable telescope for EAA or regular post processed astronomical photos. The portability and swiftness of setup gets you going quick. What I like is the ability to adjust exposure and gain to suit my tastes and with the fantastic updates that are coming, this will be a great tool in my astronomical tool box. And did I mention Solar, Lunar and daytime landscape panorama photos with the ability to track your subject. There's nothing else out there with this flexibility in such a small package. Do yourself a favor and get the expanded kit that includes the accessories. You will use them. Also I have had no reason to use their after purchase support, but I understand from reading what others have said it is top notch. Highly recommended. Pictures attached are from this scope with a small amount of post processing other than the ring. It is what you see is what you get.

The images and general function of the system is amazing. I love that I can sit in my warm tent or car and use it remotely. Only about 10-20 feet away. It’s easy to setup and carry on trips. Long exposures are a breeze and it can be powered externally with a battery pack for super long exposures. The panorama function and tracking are awesome and it’s just fun to use. It can also be used during daylight and landscape photography. I highly recommend it. The app is currently a little buggy and you need to be patient but it does work. It seems to just be bad software so I’m hoping an app update will fix the bugs.
