This drum key can unlock any acoustic drum kit on the planet. Be warned, your drums are not safe anymore since I hold the master key. The reason I only gave it five stars is because there's one thing it can't unlock on your drums, and that is your skill level. Believe me I've tried. You'll still need to practice. Pair this key with a tune bot and a good set of heads and your drums will sound good. I'm not saying that your playing will sound good, I'm just saying that the tone of your drums will sound good.

I love this key and have purchased multiple over the last few years. I ad a clip to the keyring endso I can quickly snap this on to a beltloop to keep a key with me without it taking up pocket space. The barrel is slim enough that it seems to work even on drums with narrow clearance. Nice texturing on the barrel behind the wings make it great for "finger tightening" to pretension before really going to town.My only gripe is that I often think I've pushed it into it's clip and it doesn't quite fully secure. I've unknowingly lost these a few times at gigs when I clipped it back quickly without paying close enough attention.

They key is very good on its own. What makes it great is that it has a detachable ring, so you can hang this from anything and quick release it for use, then snap it back. Like most drummers, if you're constantly looking for a drum key because it's misplaced or it's in the bottom of your stick bag, this is great to have elsewhere on your set or yourself for that matter.

I work for a large church and we have multiple drum kits that we prep and take care of. This key has been so great as a quick tool on my key chain to do that. My favorite part is the quick release, it makes it so that I don’t have to unclip my keys carabiner, just pull off the key and when I’m done, reconnect it. It’s a fairly large key, so it has some weight to it, which I prefer.

This key is awesome because I love the keychain quick release on it. I have it hooked onto my backpack which I take to all my gigs and it's never fallen off. The key is nice and heavy, and feels great. The dimensions are perfect and it looks awesome. I am pretty impartial when it comes to brand names and I still think this is the best generic key you can get. I would recommend getting more than one.
