I cannot recommend these enough! Their shape makes them perfect for almost every application - they are a staple in my finishing toolbox. The grit range will cover any finish work on silver, brass/bronze, or copper all the way to a mirror shine.Since they're sponges with a core, they're washable so they can go from being used on metal to polishing stone, to smoothing enamel and glass. Their versatility and durability are definitely assets.

These are a must have for small detailed hobbies. They are about nail file sized and very versatile for all sorts of edges and shapes. I use them for 3D printed objects and I always have the right grit to shape and smooth anything I need to.Highly recommended these for 3D printing!

The high grit levels make achieving an impressive sheen easy. Yes, EASY.The size and tapered shape of each sanding stick make previously difficult access a problem of the past. The expansive variety of grits give my hobby projects a professional appearance. Thus far, I have used these on wood (pine) and an ordinary rock, the latter to eventually create a smooth surface for a miniature painting. In both uses, these sanding sticks produced results I am proud of. I am thoroughly pleased with this collection of sanding sticks, but finding a bonus surprise in applications was just a kick in the pants type of thrill. As I began smoothing the rock surface using #80 grit, something seemed rather familiar about the shape of these sanding sticks - and then, something unrelated popped into my head - FINGERNAIL BUFFER.Naturally, I had to try this idea. I used only two grits: #800 and # 7000. The results were AMAZING. With little effort, my fingernails were smooth and shiny. I always enjoy finding additional uses for any product, and I am thrilled to have found this use for this awesome collection of sanding sticks.

I used some of these while building some HO scale plastic buildings. They worked as expected, there were no issues with them clogging up or with the grit coming off.The grit selection leans a little on the fine side, there could be some coarser grits like 120 or 240, but for most uses the grit selection is good. There are two coarse grits that are good for making things fit, and then the finer grits are for surface finishing use.The foam layer directly under the grit is a medium stiffness for a sanding stick. It doesn't conform to a surface, but it is soft enough to not dig in on a gently curved surface. The taper works good for accessing those tighter spots, while still giving you something to hold onto.Holding onto the wide end also makes it easier to hold the sanding stick square to the surface. So far these have worked good, and I have not seen any issues.

Very easy to use, both for fine detail as well as polishing larger surface areas (model rocket building). The very fine grit bringsbiut a very nice shine with gloss acrylic paint.

These sanding sticks come in a glossy black-and-gold cardstock box, which looks pretty good but unfortunately is impractical for usage. It only opens on the narrow ends, and the sticks fit too tightly together to just pull out the one you want. I transferred mine to a spare box I had that opens more like a pizza-box, a design I wish the manufacturer had used originally.

The sticks are thick and the grits appear to be accurate. There are 2 sticks of each grit, and each stick has the same grit on both its sides; there is no grit material along the narrow edges. The narrow ends will be good for small areas, though a proper stick (360 degree application of grit) would work best for nooks and crannies. The variety of grits seems best for smoothing and polishing materials like some plastics or even metal. Even 1000 grit is probably overkill for most wood, unless you're looking for a supremely silky smooth feel.I think this set of sticks is a good value for $4.99 (price at the time of my order). I hope DuraGold makes some sanding branch-style sticks for hobby models.

I got this 20-pack (2 each of 10 different grit) sanding sticks from Dura-Gold. I do a lot of 3D printing and often have "clean up" to do on the prints. I have some metal files that I have been using, but these are way better. They come in varying grits all the way from 80 to 7000. Each is marked with their grit. The highest ones are a different color which also helps choosing the one you want. I honestly can't tell much difference once it goes over 1000. That's super fine to me.These have a little give to them and are double-sided and tapered in shape like the listing photos.I am very impressed with these.
