I use this under my cat's litter tray, as they have a habit of scattering litter everywhere. This is a well made, heavy matt, and has deep fingers that do a good job of keeping the litter contained within the matt instead of all over the guest bathroom.It's a bit of a mess to empty, but I'm able to recover most of the scattered litter left behind, and reduce the waste and mess. I expect this matt would work equally well for containing the dirt and sand tracked into the house by guests, and it is definitely easy to dump and spray off. It doesn't slip on smooth surfaces, and seems like it will wear for a long time.A little pricey, but that reflects the quality.

This is an extremely durable rubber mat. We use it inside right at our entry door. I wanted something we could easily hose down and clean as it’s a high traffic spot. The mat is great quality. My ONLY complaint is the smell. It smells like an auto repair shop. Really really strong smell. It took two weeks of leaving it outside after washing, then another several weeks inside for it to subside. Otherwise a stellar floor mat.

We are full time RVers with dogs who SHED LIKE NO OTHER. Seriously, I have to vacuum a lot. This mat traps their white, needle like hairs and prevents us from tracking them into the bedroom, aka our "hair free zone". Before purchasing this mat, I was using a couple Target $10 entry way rugs. I washed them several times and then tossed them because the dog hair would not come out and they began to unravel.THIS MAT... I'm kicking myself for not thinking about getting it sooner. It's supper easy to clean. I just use my Bissell Zing vacuum without any attachments and suction the trapped hair out. When I need to deep clean it, I spray it down with Dawn Powerwash, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse with hot water and let it air dry.I purchased the 24" x 32", but would have purchased the 16" x 24" size if it had been available. Would've been a better fit for our tiny home. I wish they made RV stair covers!I will say that it's not super comfortable if you happen to step on it barefoot. However, this doesn't change my mind about how awesome this mat is! It's extremely durable, as it has no signs of wear, and it does not slide around on the floor.I LOVE that the country of origin is USA!!!

I bought this hoping to knock some of the dirt off my dogs' paws when they come in through the doggie door. I think it's cutting down on dirt in my house, and they seem fine running over the texture of the rubber fingers on the mat. The only thing I'm surprised by is that it's able to slip sideways from where I position it on our wooden deck in front of the doggie door. It's quite heavy, so I thought it would stay in place. I don't blame the mat, though, it's probably the combination of a rain making the deck slick and our big 75-lb mutt dashing through the doggie door and pushing off at a a sideways angle. The mat is standing up great so far to outdoor rain and sunshine of our Miami back yard.
