The can has a great deal of pressure and uses a standard red nozzle which makes it perfect for degreasing difficult-to-reach areas and cleaning out rattle paint can nozzles after painting. Mine did not come with any straws but I had some left over from other paint prep products. Someone mentioned they thought it was alcohol based, and I don't that's correct. It smells somewhat similar to Xylene to me, but different - and after looking up what I believe is the MSDS (no ingredients listed on the can itself), I think the primary ingredient may be Chlorobenzotrifluoride, which is a Xylene substitute. That being the case, it would probably be wise to wear a respirator when using this product. My initial impression is that it may be a bit more harsh than Xylene on painted surfaces, but I haven't done a side by side test of that. Realistically though, if you're just trying to prep an ordinary metal surface (painted or unpainted), a can of alcohol based glass cleaner should be sufficient. In fact that's what the guy at the local auto paint store said they use at their body shop. This stuff has its place though. I bought a 6 pack for about 50 bucks and am very happy with my purchase.

This is some bad smelling, hard hitting stuff. Silly me for not wearing a respirator. Much trouble breathing. I will stick with the liquid wax and grease remover or brake cleaner.

The brushed nickel finish is elegant and complements my bathroom. The pop-up drain stopper is very efficient and works perfectly.

This is a great product. It makes it so much easier to prep a surface for painting. Is long lasting since I was able to prep a good amount of surface with one can

This product helped me removed a ton of grease, grime, and tar on my car. I noticed a substantial difference in both the look and shine after wiping it off. Super easy to use and looks great after application. It definitely helped the paint bond to the surface as well. This will be my number one go to product for wax, grease, and tar removal. Highly recommend giving it a try.

I used this as a prep material for a recent touch-up job on my 2016 mustang. Here's what I did:1.Washed the car with meguiars gold car wash soap.2.Hand dried with an oversized towel3.Clay bar'd the car4. circled the spots on my bumper/hood that were being touched up with a paint pen (simple window paint marker).5. Sprayed dupli-color prep spray on those areas that I was getting ready to touch up. Just a simple quick burst of the spray and wipe down with a microfiber towel afterwards.6. For good measure, I took a can of microfiber paint dabbers (the small, tooth-pick like tools that have 1/8 drop of paint capacity) and dipped one or two in some rubbing alcohol, for a final cleaning of the paint chips.7. dab tiny bit of primer if needed, then dab tiny bit of paint....The rest is a matter of building up your paint layers and then leveling properly w/ various sanding blocks (I found wetsanding with 2000 worked well for me and resulted in minimal scratches to clean up in the surrounding paint). polishing the light scratches out will make the touch up spots darn near invisible unless your face is a few inches from the spot and someone points it out to you...This prep-spray worked wonderful for my use. It is much stronger than you would think, and is NOT safe to spray on freshly painted surfaces. I learned this the hard way. After doing my initial base coat on my touch up, I sprayed this on top of it when I let it try (dumb move) and when I went to wipe the surface clean with a towel, I was back to bare metal again with one swipe of a towel. ha!Although you can probably get away with washing the car surface of basic dirt/grime and then using this as a final prep, I still preferred to clay bar the surface first. Depending on how dirty the car is, or how long since it's been detailed, you may find it worth it to do. It will make the finishing part of your project much cleaner, as I found when I started sanding the "blob" down it was extremely light scratches around the area I was working...almost to the point I didn't care about buffing them out (lighter than your standard car wash swirls).
