Every bass I play out is equipped with these strap locks. If you recess them they are rock solid.

I am sure we have all been there...You are playing away, feeling great then all of a sudden your strap goes light and your guitar starts to fall. Hopefully you catch it.It can be costly and also incredibly embarrassing if you are gigging....I chose these strap locks as they are hardly noticeable and work really well. Simply push the button and click into place. To remove, push the same button and disconnect.Love them.

Los más funcionales y duraderos del mercado! no existe otra marca que ofrezca esta calidad, además son infalibles y discretos en comparación con otras marcas, tengo con un par más de 10 años y siguen funcionando perfectamente

I've only had one set fail on me ever and that was because I used them for many years and they wore out.

Whenever I buy a new bass I have a routine. I buy these and also a new strap from my favorite manufacturer so that each bass (depending on what the gig requires) is ready to pull from the cupboard and ready to go. I've been using these for maybe 20 years and I've never had an issue. Even when I was living in the Caribbean and playing, these didn't falter or rust with salty air. I think these should be a standard feature on any electric bass (maybe guitar too?). Why are we even using the original system anymore? Am I the only one who's ever had a strap come off during a performance?

I’ve been using these since before Dunlop bought them. That’s about 40 years. Never had them let go unexpectedly. And they don’t like a nut that comes lose like the Schaller strap locks.

These Jim Dunlop locks are super easy to install. On the guitar, just remove existing strap posts and replace with these using just a philips screwdriver. The strap end connects with a "C" washer and solidly holds the locking mechanism onto the strap. I put these on all of my guitars. The best strap lock system ever!!

I bought my first set of these back in 1992 when I bought my first good guitar (a 1982 Guild Nova electric, solid mahogany, HEAVY guitar!!). When I bought a strap to go along with that guitar the guy in the shop recommended a set of these since the guitar was on the heavy side. I figured a $450 guitar at the time was worth protecting with a $6 set of strap locks. Yeah, they're a little more expensive now at $10 a set but the piece of mind is well worth it. I tried the other sets and they've failed me. Now, all 16 of my guitars have Dunlop strap locks attached and every guitar I buy, no matter what the price gets a set. The "other" set (with the "pull-peg" release) will pop open from time to time. With these Dunlop locks, I've NEVER had that happen. I've actually thrown away two sets of the other brand because of failure and I recommend these to every player I know. They fit every guitar and strap and you'll never have to worry again. Buy these and play as hard as you want, your guitar (even my 50's Les Paul) is safe and sound!! Thank you Dunlop!! OH, and NO, I never got a free set, I paid full price for every set I own, this review is from the heart.

With the correct tools (a set of small needle-nose pliers will be useful), this is not too hard to install. They have never come apart on me or stopped working as intended, unlike just about every other design I have tried. As a bonus, should something happen to the strap clasp during a performance, you will still have a more-or-less standard guitar strap knob to use, not a flat post like some others. The only drawback: it's not exactly low-profile. You may have to remove the strap when putting your instrument in its case. But that's a very minor trade-off for something that works as dependably as this does.
