We have both new and vintage guitars. We also “rehab” older 60s model Japanese electric guitars. As you can imagine, finding hidden gems that need TLC is common in the 60s models. Dunlop 65 Polish and Cleaner is my first line of defense to make these old relics shine. We go through so much of the stuff that I’ve moved into the 16 oz bottles.It doesn’t matter how grimy, sticky, dusty, or crusty a guitar is, after a few applications of this cleaner, it looks like the guitar rolled right out of the factory door into a box for delivery. We are discriminating as to which guitars to apply it to - if we have an old guitar where the checking has turned to flaking with paint coming off the slab, we will try to avoid those areas.For newer guitars - whether a NOS finish (or not), the end result is a mirror! We use this about once a week and apply with a microfiber cloth - our collection now looks like it’s sitting in an exhibit! Thank you Dunlop … our vintage beauties also say thank you!

I bought this Dunlop guitar cleaner/polish for some old classical guitars that I recently acquired. They both needed a good cleaning, something that a damp rag wouldn’t handle. The Dunlop cleaner did a fantastic job of removing dirt, smudges, fingerprints and grime, and made my old guitar’s look great. The instructions on the bottle says not to apply the product to scrapes or scratches, but I didn’t see any detrimental effects on my guitars that do have scratches and scuffs. Also, the Dunlop cleaner has a pleasant scent which is nice. It’s a great product that I’m glad I purchased,

I have been using Dunlop 65 polish and cleaner for years. Gets everything clean and always leaves a beautiful lustrous shine. Many of my clients have commented about how beautiful their guitar is when it comes off my workbench. I also love the large 16oz spray bottle as I work on lots of guitars and use it for each one. I'm very happy with this product as well as the many other Dunlop guitar products I use.

I've been using Dunlop guitar accessories products for years. I'm a bit confused by the Formula #65 label? The label says a guitar polish and cleaner, but I found it to be a fabulous cleaner, that happens to leave a protective and eye appealing, polished sheen when you are finished properly cleaning your guitar. The remaining polished finish looks natural, not greasy and does not readily show finger prints and smudges as some other polishes do.

Great deal on a giant bottle. Will last for a year. Works better as a cleaner as opposed to a polish. Very thin consistency compared to other polishes. I preferred Gibson and Martin for polish. This is why I gave it 4 instead of 5.

Very good cleaner which I can't recommend highly enough; it really gets rid of the grime that builds up on guitars and is even effective on the dreaded nicotine
