What is good about this product?- The braided design with metal casings on the ends is very strong and I have noticed no damage over my past 5 years of using it- I am currently using this as an extension cable for my headset and have it mounted under my desk and running to my PC. After years of constant plugging and unplugging, it has held up- The 8 foot version is perfect for a desk where your headphones wont reach to your computer- No changes to quality through my headset or headset microphoneWould I suggest that you pick up this cable?Yes, for sure! It does everything advertised and is very durable, will likely last many more years of use for me

Durable, solid construction. Aesthetically appealing texture. This cable serves two purposes: 1) It provides the length I require from my home built gaming PC, and 2) It spares the motherboard audio port from wear and tear of repeated plugging/unplugging. I recommend this!

The cable extends 3.5 mm jack with 4 contacts, which allows to use headsets with a microphone (or those without). The build is extremely durable. I use these wires to connect wired headphones to my mobile phone on-the-go... This is the only cable which has lasted under this use case. I strongly recommend it!

The cord is a nice cloth-like feel--not a hard plastic "black". You can tell which cable it is in a nest of black cords

Bought this cable to use at work, the line on my headphones are too short. I have the extension cable hooked to the dock behind my monitors, 4ft is more than enough to allow me move around in my cube with my headphones on. The braided cable feels very robust and both ends are in aluminum. I'm not an audiophile, but the extension does not degrade sound quality to me. Overall, it's a great cable.

I've been looking for an extension cable that would withstand a lot of moving around. I have a wired headset that I use in my cubicle, and needed an extension cable that met the following criteria:- 3.5mm jack with mic passthrough- Shielding to prevent degrading audio quality- Quality buildSurprisingly, not many on the Amazon met this criteria, price notwithstanding. I went with this one.So far, it has been good.Pros:- Shielding indeed keeps sound quality good, or at least good enough for my headphones; no sound degradation, bleeding, hissing, or popping that I could tell.- Nylon braiding on the cable should provide better-than-average durability for cables- Mic passthrough, as promised; can be used with Apple earbuds and Bose QuietComfort 25 without issue.But it is not perfect.Cons:- I can see the junction point where cable meets the connector being worn out faster than anywhere else. Where it would have made more sense to cover with pliable rubber, they've decided that thick block of rubber would look more tough and went with that instead; that ironically would put more stress on the cable.- Cable is heavy and relatively inflexible, but that's the tradeoff you get with a cable that's shielded and braided; unless someone performs some voodoo black magic on these things, I don't think that's something that can be fixed.- Cable is being sold by a company that I have never heard of before that could very well disappear from the face of the Earth tomorrow. I think this is currently an epidemic in Amazon.- The packaging says "unconditional lifetime warranty"--good. But You also get a card inside that says "add an extended 18 months to your warranty? Register at the website." How do you extend a warranty that's already lifetime? Are you going to bring this cable back from the dead and then some?Overall, for what I've paid and what I was looking for, it is excellent. Looking forward to using this for quite some time.
