Solid build. I thought this was going to help provide more storage space. It didn't. I couldn't fit any more under the seat than what I had there with the factory set up. The dividers were not plastic/polymer as I've seen in every ad and demo. They were foam. The locks are nice. I wouldn't buy this unless you are looking strictly for rifle space/security, or you just want to have some simple things (tow straps, emergency supplies, etc) and don't want them moving around the floor. I wanted to store my camelback 13L emergency pack in it so my kids would stop walking all over it...doesn't fit.

Installing is fairly straight forward, although the instructions that came with it seemed to be for an earlier model truck. Relocation the jack and jack mounting plate was a huge pain in the rear! It took a lot of force to get the storage box to line up with the jack mounting plate bolt holes. Once I finally wrestled the box around to get everything aligned, the drivers side mounting was easy.The gun mounts are cheesy and cheaply made. For the price of this storage unit, I expected much better quality gun holders! I think this unit is overpriced! It is great to have underwear storage in my new Chevy truck, and while this unit offers a lot more storage than my past Ram trucks did, I prefer my Ram storage a bit more, other than the fact they didn’t have gun mounts. The locking mechanism is a joke but I guarantee you I could give the lid a nice yank and bust that lid open pretty easily. The box is also flimsy, which was another discouraging issue. As a former firefighter and EMT, I still carry a medical bag and other related items as well as a lot of straps, tools, tie down straps for a vehicle, jerk rope and vehicle cleaning items. This box does allow for everything I carry and I think I could still get some long guns in it without interference from my items.It takes a pretty great item for me to give a five star rating. I contemplated giving this box a four rating, but it just didn’t deserve that high of a rating.

I had a little cheaper one before so I wanted something that was a little bit more durable so I spent the extra money, and I was very happy with what I received looks good under the rear seat takes up that excess room and feels that void looks like it was permanently in place there I can’t complain. Love the storage love the look.
