This is a very helpful product when you are trying to cut pills. You can cut them in half and you can also quarter your pills. It’s adjustable so that you can fit most any size pill in it.

The reviews I read prior to purchasing were good so I got it. I just received it today. Tried to cut some pills in half. The device is easy to use and easy to secure the pill or pills (accommodates more than one pill) but when you cut the pills and open the device they are crumbling and uneven. Of course I tried 3 times to be sure with 2 pills each time. Then I tried one single pill which worked slightly better but overall not a clean or even cut could be had. Very disappointed. Now I have wasted several pills and may or may not be able to use them.

I got this to cut my cat’s tiny thyroid pills. Works amazing!!!!! Easy to open, cut and it twists on the side to tighten the pills into places. Fit 7 pills at once. Now you have to use some common sense and make sure the pills are flat and straight before cutting. Definitely worth the money.

I take 1/2 a tablet to help me sleep every night. It's a tiny little pill and incredibly hard to cut in half by hand. After a scare last week, where I thought I'd dropped half a pill and couldn't find it on the floor as my year-old Dachshund trotted happily out of the room chewing on something, I panicked. (Turns out I'd put 2 half pills in one section of my old lady pill keeper, so he didn't actually get it.) But it scared me badly, so I ordered this pill cutter. Super easy to use, hold even my tiny little nighttime pills firmly. Cuts them in half easily and holds them until I open it. Plus the cut is even and clean, something I've never been able to accomplish with a cutting board and a knife. This is a great buy and works great. I'm actually kicking myself for not buying it 6 months ago!

Got this pill cutter because it was one of the few that you could adjust the size of the part that hold the pills securely when cutting.I had a very small pill for my cat and a large pill for my dog that I needed to cut in half daily. With the regular cutters the small pill would slide around and crack unevenly, but this holds a line of several pills securely and makes even, sharp cuts, without them breaking apart (very little residual pill powder and no uneven chunks). The larger pills don’t split quite as nicely, but it may also be the consistency of the pill. I don’t have any other pills as large to test though.For the best results you do have to line up the pill score marks with the blade. For smaller pills, if you want to do several at a time, it can be a little tricky. A pair of tweezers, forceps or even small, narrow (clean) pliers work well though to line them up (easier than getting your fingers in a small space).I took off 1 star off due to the large pills not cutting as evenly as I’d like. For the small pills I’d give it 5 stars.

I can't believe how well this works. I had to cut 90 pills in half for my dog, and I was able to do it fast, evenly and VERY cleanly. Even if the pills seemed a little off center when I tightened the press, the pills still came out perfect with no crumbling. I highly recommend!! Also, it was really easy to pour the pills straight into the bottle. You do have to press hard and the sound scared my blind dog, but she's always scared of new noises. I rarely leave reviews, but I just had to recommend this.
