My son bought this with birthday money and he's had a lot of fun playing with it. The carrying case is really nice, it holds everything and is very compact. Drone has some fun features like doing flips, has camera you can see what it sees if you hook up a cell phone to it (you have to download and app and connect to the wifi of the drone in order to access that feature).Recommend for a gift for 8-12 year old, pretty cool. Minimal parental setup required (just the app etc and letting your kid use your phone if they want to use the camera)

We’ve had this drone for about a month now & it is still working after quite a few crashes! We have one other drone, without a camera, so we were looking for one with the ability to take pics, but didn’t want to spend a lot of money as we are still very much beginners with drones. We’ve had a few crashes while trying to figure out everything & nothing has broke - happily surprised by the durability!The controller is actually pretty easy to figure out & the directions are helpful. It comes with everything you need & more. Having an extra battery is a plus & we were impressed that it came with a nice case.In order to take pictures, you have to download the app. You then put your phone in the controller & can take the pics on your phone. We have really been enjoying playing around with it & taking pics.Definitely recommend if you are just getting started & don’t want to pay $300-$400 for a more advanced drone.

My son and I absolutely love this drone! It’s incredibly fun to use, and we’ve had countless hours of enjoyment flying it, especially with the nature conservancy close to our house. We've watched deer, turkeys, coyotes, found marshes and ponds we didn't know where back there, and trails. The drone is easy to control, even for beginners, and the camera quality is fantastic, capturing stunning aerial views of the beautiful landscapes around us.The features are outstanding. The 4K UHD camera captures great photos and videos, while the GPS assisted flight makes sure we have precise positioning and automatic return home, which is really helpful for our son. The Follow Me mode is perfect for capturing our adventures without needing manual control, and the gesture control makes taking photos and videos super easy. With its long flight time, we can enjoy extended exploration sessions without it dying on us before we are ready. The obstacle avoidance feature keeps our flights safe and smooth as we were worried we would crash it and break. Hasn't happened!This drone has become our go-to activity for bonding and exploring nature together. It’s also a fantastic tool for educating our son about nature, park trails, and giving him a better idea of where we are.
