Great product, Works as advertised, Shipping was VERY complicated... allow extra extra time to arrive. In fact CALL THE Carrier to notify you when it arrived at your nearest hub, I decided to get it myself & it was much faster. (LTL) Conway,FedEx & or UPS Freight are the Carriers. Also very easy to assemble. I did even read the manual.

I have Parkinson's and had trouble turning over and getting in and out of bed. This bed has made it easier with sturdy half side rails. The control lets one raise/lower the head or the "foot" end that raises one's knees. It would be similar if one put a pillow under the knees. The side rails can be raised/lowered.I have no problem getting in or out of bed with the side rails up since they are half rails. Personally, I would find it difficult to lower the rails once I'm in the bed.For me the mattress is a bit hard, but that's a personal preference. Someone else may find it perfect, I have ordered a one inch thick foam topper and that should do it.

This item showed up ahead of time with other items ordered for the same purpose and was exactly as described, was reasonably easy to build, and works perfectly.

The bed arrived way later than delivery due by date. I contacted the seller because we started to become concerned. They were not helpful in any way. The instructions were awful we ended up hiring someone to put the bed together. Mind you this purchase was for an elderly dementia patient. I could not imagine what would have happened if I was not involved to assist. As a nurse practitioner I do not recommend purchasing.

Hospital bed seems well built and works well. However, the assembly instructions are terrible -- both incomplete and incorrect. Very poor quality photos, in black and white only. Instructions were written in 2012 apparently, even though the the 2019 model is now different. Several important steps are omitted, such as the importance of removing and disposing of the metal cross braces that are used for shipping only. It took me several google searches to find useful PDF files and YouTube videos before I was able to assemble the bed successfully.

Frame is bowed, so the drive shaft pops out all the time. So every time I want to change the overall bed height, I have to get on the floor and hold the shaft in place and use the manual crank. Bedrails only have one point of attachment, so they move a lot, even though they are securely tightened, which frightens my mom some during transfers. The head and foot elevation function and control work just fine, and the rails are easy for the caregiver to raise and lower, but not for the patient (which is generally a good thing). There is no "holder" for the control, and it slides off if you just hang it over the rail, so we made a holder out of pipe cleaners that works just fine (compliments of the 7yr old grandchild). Delivery truck refused to bring it to my house, even though we get log trucks in there easily...so we had to make arrangements to pick it up in town. Very hard to assemble, even with the help of my friends at the local DME shop. Regret my purchase.

Outstanding home use hospital bed with therapeutic mattress. The description on Amazon is very thorough so I will not repeat it. I bought this bed January 3, 2015 after doing tons of research on hospital beds. I have really enjoyed sleeping in this bed with a therapeutic mattress for the past 2 months. The bed arrived on a pallet in 4 boxes. It weighs 300 lbs. I am a 5'2" lady so I removed the boxes on the driveway and brought in the bed in pieces that I could carry. Assembly was easy and I watched the youtube video a few times before assembling which helped. The bed is very quiet while the electric motor moves the head (to sit up) and foot (to raise your knees) of the bed. There was an issue with raising the height of the bed attached to the casters on the floor. I was surprised to find only one shaft to lift the bed height higher for the head only. There is room for another shaft for the foot height but it isn't included. The directions don't show it. So I could only raise the head end of the bed higher and the motor for that is very noisy. I ended up raising the height of the bed electrically for the head and used the hand crank for the height of the foot end of the bed. It was not a deal breaker for me and it comes with safety pins which I installed when I was happy with the height. If you are taking care of someone and need to raise and lower the bed, this would be a deal breaker. Overall, I love the bed but it is advertised as a "full electric" bed. It is not. The bed is very nice quality and there are replacement parts available.
