I had these from many years ago to organize my cross stitch thread. I use a large 3 ring binder to put these cards in. I was so happy to find these again! I use a 3 ring hole punch to make these binder-ready, write the DMC number on the line provided, and string the thread through the provided hole. A large index card came with my original set so I can record and easily find the desired thread. I find these much more economical and more easy to use than having multiple plastic boxes.

Makes my stitching so much easier, I used to punch holes in cardboard to sort my threads and put my needle in my canvas. The magnet on these is strong enough to hold my needle even when I put it all away in a bag. And I just carefully write my project name and thread colours in pencil and easily erase it all for the next one.

I love the convenience of these cards, I’ve used and reused them for years. Instead of writing directly on the card I apply a return address label to each slot, before hand that makes it easier to erase the current project completely and I’m ready to move on to the next!

I've used several methods of organizing floss for projects, and this is the best. I've been using them for years. I love the magnet at the top for keeping track of the needle.

These are pretty handy and well-designed, with holes for your embroidery yarn or floss and a good place to add the symbol, letter, or number for that color.I am not sure that it's much of an improvement over an index card with holes punched in it.And for larger or more elaborate projects, especially ones that blend floss colors in a single stitch, there are not NEARLY enough holes to have every blend have its own!The magnet for holding the needle is a cute idea, but as a person who lives with cats, I have to make sure needles are far more secure than that. The same would be true if one had small kids.Still, functional if a DIY approach is just not in the cards for some reason!

I have been using LoRan's large floss organizing cards and folders for years and they are still in great shape. I can put my hands on the exact floss I need in seconds. These project cards let me put the flosses I need for a project one one card, and then pop it in my project bag. If you haven't used the cards before, you take a whole skein of floss (or as much as you need) cut through the bottom of the skein, then poke the top loop of the floss through a hole in the card and then gather the cut ends and pull them through the top loop and pull them snug. You can then braid the floss if you like or just leave it loose. Pull the individual strains out of the top loop as needed. Make sure you write the floss number on the appropriate line on the card. Presto, you are organized.
