The hanging birdcages are made of heavy, quality metal. Very sturdy and beautiful. However the chain they are attached to is light and flimsy, it can't hold the weight of the birdcages without stretching open. Even being packaged was too much stress on the chain.Rather than return it, which was our initial response, my husband removed each of the cages and attached them to a heavier chain which can bear their weight.I'm giving the product 3 stars; 1 for the chain quality and 5 for the cages.

Unfortunately this is a really cool looking item that just doesn't work...... The spiral shape actually throws the water out in a wide circle around the rain chain...... virtually none of the water is directed down the chain (even to the next spiral on the chain)..... Hate I missed the return window..... I bought 2 of these things, guess they will just end up in the trash.....
