For our first kid we bought a hatch that basically looks like this. We have another little one the way and I thought I would give this a try. This Dreamegg is just like the hatch except it has a lot more features. There are many more sounds/music and a bit more color options as well as a clock in front which was much more needed than we realized. It is difficult to lift your arm to look at your watch or pull out your phone when the baby is falling asleep in your arms.Being able to schedule colors and music at different times of the day is very hand for keeping your little one on a schedule. Another great use for when your child is older is to have it set to change color at a certain point in the morning to signal that they can get out of bed and play quietly if mom and dad are still sleeping. This prevents a lot of "Can I get up yet?"The buttons on top make it easy to change presets, volume, or color easily.There is a child lock option that can be used to lock the buttons on the unit to prevent your child from changing the modes manually.Wifi is also a plus over BLE in that it ensures a quick connection from anywhere in the house.

It is half a price of Hatch Rest, but it is sufficient for what I needed it for, a few variations of different color and brightness lights and noise machine. App is simple but functional. In terms of general functionality, Hatch Rest is more elaborate. Nite 1 doesn't have ability to set up complex sequences of setting changes (e.g. turn on red light with noise, after 10min turn off the light and leave noise machine off), or custom music/sounds. On hardware side, build quality and materials are as good as Hatch Rest.

We got this cute night light sound machine for our daughter's nursery. We had a separate night light and portable sound machine that we were using before, but both were somewhat limited and I wanted something with some more options and more flexible controls. This one has lots of features and options AND a connected app which makes it super easy to control.It has full volume and brightness control as well as lots of sound and color options. You can even save preset favorites for easy switching between different modes. I love that I can use the buttons on the machine or use the app on my phone when I'm not in the room. The only thing I found a little weird is that the pretty bird design in the photos is actually a clear plastic sleeve that slips over the machine which is otherwise plain white. I guess it gives you more options? But it just seems weird not to have the design part of the actual device. Anyway, we've been using this for several weeks and I am super happy with it!

Simple and easy to use, very intuitive. Same with using with the app, it’s very user friendly. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is that even on the lowest setting 1%, the brightness/dimness is still producing a lot of light. I put a stuffed animal in front of the lamp to darken the room a little as the toddler wakes up from the light.

Wonderful selection of sounds, went with the gentle rain for my toddler who has always slept with a sound machine in her room. The color preferences make it fun so toddler knows what color and sound will play when it’s time to get up.
