I needed some safety locks for my grandbaby who's living with us, but they no longer seem to make the brand I had before. My old baby latches screwed into our cabinet doors, but I couldnโt find any that fit the same holes and I didnโt want to make even more holes. So I went searching for something different and discovered DreamBaby. I decided to give them a try but I was leery. As it turns out, I was pleasantly surprised by how well they work!โข I thought these wouldnโt attach to wood surfacesโฆ but they do.โข I thought these would be hard to applyโฆ but theyโre not.โข I thought these wouldnโt fitโฆ but they do.โข I thought these would be in the wayโฆ but theyโre not.โข I thought these wouldnโt stickโฆ but they do.โข I thought these would be hard to openโฆ but theyโre not.Iโm amazed that these DreamBaby locks work even better than my old ones! They install a lot faster too - with no tools or screws - which also means no holes! They not only work on wood cabinets, they work on refrigerators, freezers, toilets, glass cabinets, metal cabinets, and more. They can even go around corners. The 5-pack was just the right quantity for all our kitchen babyproofing needs, and it's a great price too! These DreamBaby locks are as easy to attach as 3M Command Strips - and in fact they have 3M adhesive on each end - so I guess I should have known they would hold tightly! Just be sure to measure carefully and make sure you attach it in the exact spot where you want it because they can't be moved. You can always cut the plastic strap to any length if you donโt want it sticking out when covering a shorter span.As with any childproofing device, there is a trick to opening these. You push in on the two side buttons while simultaneously pushing the center button over. The latches can be installed in either direction for right- or left-handed use. When you unhook the latch, you can either leave the strap in place or swivel it out of the way, which is a pretty cool feature. To close and lock it, just snap it back in place. So far the DreamBaby locks have held up well and baby hasnโt pulled them off or gotten past them. I must admit even our old screw-in latches werenโt foolproof, but I think these DreamBaby ones are just about perfect! Once you get the hang of it theyโre easy to open - unless you have your hands full - but in that case youโll just have to set the stuff down. And finally, I understand they probably made these in white to suit most peopleโs needs, but it would be nice if they also came in black and tan. Overall, highly recommended!

These are very sturdy. They are also adjustable. Take note though, once you lock the adjustment in, you can not READJUST it. They also stick very firmly. It takes a lot of work to remove one if you get the adjustment wrong. Ask me how I know this. They are fairly easy to manipulate. I have nerve damage in my hands so, its a challenge at times finding a child lock my granddaughter can't figure out but, that I can still open. in summary, I found these locks slightly difficult to install but, very slightly. They are not particularly unsightly but, also not attractive. Easy enough for a disabled senior to manipulate but, (so far) difficult enough that a 4 yr old can't.

I actually ordered these after we had an incident where one of our cabinet doors in our camper flew open while traveling, and we ended up with dry spaghetti all over the camper. I installed one on all three cabinets and they work great. They're very easy to install, they stay on very well, and they aren't difficult to open once you get the hang of them. I also use one on a portable folding table to keep it secured to the wall while traveling, and it's perfect for that too, though I probably should put two on it since there's a lot more force on it. Overall, I am very happy with the usefulness and sturdiness of these cabinet locks.
