The plunger helps to really mix the formula well also. We will get a lot of use out of this.

Good mixer for the price. Great for storing breast milk. Giving it 4 stars because of the lid, it doesn’t screw on so if it is not pushed on all the way can fall off easily especially after using the tool to mix from the top so be careful - I have spilled some milk before. Other than that it is very easy to clean and great for the price.

While we don't feed formula exclusively, our pediatrician recommends augmenting milk with some formula since our baby was premature. This has made mixing the formula effortless. It seals well and lets us keep several bottle's worth in the fridge at a time, ready to be dispensed. The pouring takes a little getting used to, but it has never dribbled at all.My only minor gripe is that it doesn't disassemble very much at all for placing in the dishwasher. You can get the blade assembly off easily, but the center rod is still captive. However, I quickly realized that apart from a paranoid initial run through the dishwasher, cleaning is simply soap and warm water combined with enthusiastic use of the product. So, not enough to knock a star off for.The expiration dial is a bit of a joke (easy to knock out of alignment) but some masking tape and a marker solves that.At nine dollars this is a no brainer if you need to mix formula for your baby.

This review is for the Dr. Talbot's Formula Mixer - 32oz Capacity, Clump-Free Mixing, Expiration Dial, Dishwasher Safe - Perfect for Easy, Spill-Free Baby FeedingWhat a great little mixer/pitcher. The plunger handle moves up and down easily and the spiral design of the plunger pole spins the blades to quickly and efficiently mix the powdered formula with water. The design of the lid is great for pouring and storage as the plunger handle will "lock" into place for storing and easily open to allow pouring into bottles. Also on the lid is a little dial that you can spin until the arrow points to the hour/number that you mixed the formula if you need an extra reminder about that for expiration issues. (Mixed formula is generally good for 2 hours at room temperature and 24 refrigerated.) The only issue here is that it only has numbers 1-12 with no way to indicate AM or PM and, if you are more comfortable with a 24-hour clock, this might be an issue. I think most people will mix what they need for a day, so that probably eliminates the need to mark it on the lid.The pitcher handle is wrapped in a soft silicone and has finger grips for easy handling. The pitcher is marked and easy to read in both metric and imperial scale. No need to try and convert to the scale you understand. It does not come with instructions so I would recommend putting your water in first based on the measurements and then adding your powder. It is easy to clean (you can remove the blades by pinching the pole prongs on the underside) and top rack dishwasher safe. That all said, I think this is a great little pitcher that can be used for blending protein, electrolytes, and other drink powders. I would be keeping and using this long after the baby is off of formula!

If you’re formula feeding, you know you’re in for mixing a LOT of bottles. And while you can do it one bottle at a time, sometimes it’s much easier to mix multiple bottles at once. Particularly if you’re filling a number of bottles for daycare or you have a rapidly growing baby that “chews” through formula. This mixer allows you to mix up four 8 oz bottles (32oz - or it could be eight 4 oz bottles, etc.) at one time, quickly and easily. The mixing wheel is easy to use and mixes the formula quite thoroughly (and you can re-run it - and should re-run it - every time you pour another bottle). You simply add the right amount of water and the right amount of powder formula and run the mixing wheel up and down a few times and that’s it. You can pour immediately into bottles or set the ‘expiration timer’ - read your formula tub but it’s often something like 24 hours after preparation - and keep the mixer and formula in the fridge until you need it. That expiration timer is a super helpful add on so you know at a glance if the formula inside is still good or not.The mixer is plastic, but seems well made and works well overall (if you’re avoiding plastic, avoid this, but it is BPA free and all). The mixing wheel does require some work to clean - the easiest way to clean it I’ve found is to fill it with soapy water and run the mixing wheel through the soapy water (perhaps a few times) then use a normal hand washing brush / soap.So if you’d like an easier way to mix up bulk formula, this is a great way to do just that quickly and easily. If that sounds good to you, give it a try today!

This Dr. Talbot's Formula Mixer is well worth the purchase and, at under $10 at time of purchase, it's a great value too. It mixes formula perfectly with no clumping. The measurement marks are accurate and easy to read. All parts of the pitcher are easy to assemble/disassemble, clean, and are comfortable to hold. The flow from the pour spout is nicely controlled so it is possible to pour into a bottle, even half asleep, without making a mess. This little gadget works so well, my husband actually bought two more. Our oldest has an on-again/off-again love for milk but doesn't drink it consistently enough to keep it from going bad so we keep powdered whole milk on hand for him to drink as well as for me to be able to use in baking, etc. This pitcher is the best way to mix up a batch clump free with easy clean up. Since both adults in the house use protein powder regularly, another pitcher gets used for mixing our morning shakes. It's faster and easier to mix them together in this pitcher and split them between two cups than to fuss with two shaker cups every day.TLDR: If you need to mix any milk-based powdered drinks from infant formula to powdered milk to protein shakes, this pitcher does the job very well, fits easily in the fridge, and is super easy to clean up.
