A great supplement for our pup. We have used this for years - the dogs like it and it adds a lot of nutrients to their dietFirst started using it with our dog who had diabetes but it is now a staple for the others

The product was good. There was nothing wrong with it but my dogs just won’t eat it. They’re 15 years old and they’re very spoiled no matter what I did with that they would not touch it. I suggest you not spend $55 on a food that your dogs have never tried before

Dr. Harvey’s is great freeze dried dog food. My dog has liver enzyme issues. Was eating Hills prescription diet for 5 months, and I knew she could not continue much longer. The Raw Vibrance is just healthy vegetables that you add protein as needed raw or lightly cooked. There are no synthetic additives in this food. Liver issues calls for lower GOOD protein. At this time I’m using eggs and some white meat chicken. This food smells like homemade vegetable soup when you add warm water!! My dog loves it🤗 So far so good🤞🏻

My dogs like vegetables and such anyways so this natural alternative was easy transition for us. I used chicken and chicken stock with this and I added a little of my own veggies and a tiny bit of rice or oatmeal. I thought it smelled terrible - like dried vegetables or tea - but dogs loved it! It was like treat for them. I make up enough ahead of time for 3days and keep in fridge cuz it takes 10 min or more for the food to be ready. Do follow the instructions in the package - ( I replaced water with chicken stock though). After 4 days of no dried kibble I can see the difference in dog alertness and digestion movements. I always use healthy food anyway but we needed to step up a notch. A little extra work but worth it for our furbabies to make that time. Surprise to me that they liked it!

This brand is amazing, the best my picky eater was not eating the expensive kibble anymore and wouldn’t touch his foods even if I added things to it. Then I finally decided to make the switch to whole raw/ cooked foods and it was a game changer. I just use this as the base follow the instructions and topped it with cooked ground beef and some fish oil. I add his green dental clean powder to this and he eats the entire meal up so quickly with no fuss at all. This changes everything for me and him and he is now so happy and more confident. I highly recommend this brand😀Maybe order a small bad first to test out with your dog when first switching over add their favourite protein mix it all together and they will surely eat everything. Now I just orders the full size larger bag. This will be my go to with my raw/ cooked feeding!

This is a quality freeze dried veggie that you can soak in hot water for 10 minutes and add to the top of dog food to make the dog food more enjoyable and healthy for the dog. Or if you're preparing a homemade dog food, rather than chopping up all the veggies you would have to keep fresh on hand, you can just add the warm water to this veggie mix and add it to what you're preparing before or after it's ready to eat. My dogs seem to enjoy their food with the addition of the veggies, and I'm certain it adds a good measure of nutrition. Dr. Harvey's have other versions of the hydrated food, but it seems we use this Raw Vibrance Grain Free one the most. The dogs also like the flavor, and I like the smell of the one that has oats in it.

This is a good veggie mix to add to my dog's food (kibble and dehydrated/freeze-dried raw) a couple times a week for variety. However, I wish they didn't pulverize so much of it into a fine powder because every time I scoop it out, pour it into the food container (I make it in her dehydrated/freeze-dried dinner the night before and refrigerate it), and close the bag, that powder flies up into the air in a cloud and goes up my nose if I forget to hold my breath and fan it away from me. Said powder in my nose makes me sneeze a lot. It's quite annoying. So, if they made the same mix but not pulverized into a powder, I'd be happy. I've also bought a couple of their other mixes in the past, but got this one this time for variety. The others aren't as powdery. They're all good and healthy for my dog, and I assume they taste good since she eats them (mixed in with her food).

My little girl really enjoyed this food. I would make a big batch and keep it in the refrigerator. I would then lightly cook her meat and then add a big scoop of the premix. Her stools were perfectly formed. Gobbled it up fast. There is quite a bit of sediment at the bottom of the bag, as other reviewers have mentioned. I didn’t find it to be a dealbreaker as it’s to be expected. Just mix the bag up a bit and as you scoop you’ll get a variety. My 15-year-old Maltipoo has chronic kidney disease, stage two for close to two years now. She’s on a high-quality diet along with some kidney supplements. Dr. Harvey’s premix has been a great option for us in adding variety to her diet. Her values have remained consistent over this time. She’s never been a picky eater, so I can’t say how well a picky eater would do.It is definitely on the higher price point. In Canada, we have limited options. Amazon is the only place I could find Delivery for. Previously raw fed, which was more economical than Dr. Harvey’s. Something to keep in mind long term.

QUICK REVIEW: Dr. Harvey's base mix and supplements have, without a doubt, extended my dog's life and improved his mobility. He no longer requires prescription dog food, nor any other medications. Dr. Harvey's is worth every penny.A BIT OF HISTORY: One year ago, we got the terrible news that our senior shih tzu mix Francis had kidney disease. Our vet immediately switched Francis to a prescription dog food and while he ate the food without complaint, he was miserable. On the prescription food, Francis was constantly hungry and begging for food. He gained considerable weight and developed mobility impairment and painful joints. We couldn't tell what was worse--the kidney disease or the prescription kidney diet. After searching online to find a better alternative, we came across Dr. Harvey's. Like others recommended, we called Dr. Harvey's directly and spoke with the kindest woman who listened to our concerns with compassion, experience, and wisdom. She recommended Raw Vibrance to help with Francis' weight loss, instructed us on the right protein (1.5 ounces of beef or 1 egg white per meal), and encouraged us to call back with questions. In addition to Raw Vibrance, we started him on both the Dr. Harvey's Kidney Health Support Supplement and Golden Years Supplement.ABOUT HIS PROGRESS: Flash forward to one year after Francis' initial diagnosis--His kidney labs are stable (some labs even got a bit better!), he has lost considerable weight and his mobility has improved significantly. While he's still a senior dog, he's the most vibrant good boy we've seen in a while. We are in love with Dr. Harvey's products and the company. We even get him the Dr. Harvey's dehydrated sweet potato treats as a healthy rawhide alternative and he likes it.ABOUT THE FOOD: The dehydrated mix looks quite healthy. We've noticed some batches tend to have more larger pieces, while others tend to have more fine "dust." We feed our now 19-pound boy 1.5 scoops of the mix per meal plus the protein, supplements, and fish oil. It takes a while to rehydrate, so I make two meals worth of mix at night, so that it's ready for him the next day. Once a week, I also make 1.5 ounce meatballs and boil the eggs that he'll eat throughout the week. It really helps to speed up daily meal prep. The only downside of Dr. Harvey's is that it is so messy. Since it's a wet base, he gets food all over his face, his floppy ears, the floor, etc. You can see the stain in one of his photos. :D And, of course, the base mix and supplements get expensive. Thankfully, we can afford it; again, it's worth every penny.Wishing you and your loved one a healthier and happier life.
