Baby loves to mouth on muslin bibs, so I purchased this because it has a larger surface area. It is so big I can use it as a small blanket in the car at 5 months old and he can mouth it. Machine washable, too.

I have pictured the otter version of this same sloth lovey. I ordered the sloth as well but didn't want to open the packaging since in knew I'd be sending these back. Douglas brand makes a ton of different versions of baby loveys and I've ordered just about every single one haha I expected this to be similar in size to the Jellycat lovey on the right but it is clearly bigger. I have a hard time giving this a rating because it is good quality, appears we'll made, is super cute, etc... But is so large and the head is like a puffy pillow at the top... I just can't envision this being realistic for anyone other than a toddler, at the youngest! So I guess if the size is what you're looking for, then this would be a great option?

This is a very well made amazing product, but start your kid on the blanket before giving them the lovey. My child is afraid of this toy because he believes we chopped off the head of his favorite lovey and put it on a blanket.
