This is the reliable sun hat you need!I previously purchased wide brim floppy hats for sun protection, but the slightest breeze would blow them away from my face, and I’d end up walking with one hand on my hat, trying to hold the brim down. Other straw hats I found had too small of a brim to actually shade my full face.But this hat has plenty of coverage and won’t flop around in the wind. So reliable! Great for beaches, festivals, or breezy days! If you are trying to avoid skin damage, check out this hat!

For the price I expect better, took a picture of the issues. But Not the end of the world. They shipped it in a hard box to keep the hat from being deformed which I was concerned about. It is large enough to cover my face and neck from the sun. It fit pretty good for me and I have a pretty big head(7.5 hats) It was tight but not so much it gives me a headache. But seems that it would fit an array of sizes. Also the chin strap was opened all the way and was chocking me so I removed it. Could've been a bit longer.

Am I a samurai walking my neighborhoods now? Absolutely. This hat is big and provides amazing shade without the annoying floppiness of most big hats. I have a small head and it fits great, there's a cord to adjust the size which I haven't needed. It's fairly fashionable, and even though it was rather expensive I feel like I got my money's worth. I'm not embarrassed to be seen in it 😂

I’ve had 8-10 cases of skin cancer over the past 15 years including a tiny speck of melanoma (can grow to be deadly!) that an eagle- eyed dermatologist found. The broad brim of this hat almost totally blocks out sun to the face. It is light weight and very comfortable. This hat is not expensive and has held up well (sturdy!). The kids joke around and ask if I’m going on safari!Highly recommended.

Through much trial and error I've been looking for sun protection to cover my full face, neck and shoulders. This hat does the trick! This hat actually shades my nose, cheeks and lips unlike other wide brim hats and visors I've tried. It's also not floppy and has a sturdy tie that is easy to slide so it stays on. There is plenty of room on top part (the crown) so I can wear my hair up which prevents me from getting "hat hair." The weave is tight and the hat structure is sturdy. It is heavier than wearing a wide brim visor but not by much and it allows for air circulation. I have a smallish head so I was worried that it might be too big for me but to my delight, the elastic band inside makes it a perfect fit for me, although I can see myself using a bandana as a headband if I feel like it gets too loose. Another possibility is to purchase foam hat size reducers that stick on under the interior hat band if necessary. I don't know how it will fit larger heads, but it could very well be adapted to different size noggins. I hesitated due to the price but I am pleasantly surprised by the quality of this fun and functional hat!Update: I thought it would be helpful to show pictures showing measurements and share more details. First, the circumference of my head where the hat band lands on my head is about 21 inches. Also, I thought I'd try wearing a folded up bandana around my forehead underneath the hat and found that the hat definitely fit more snug and found it to be very comfortable with the bandana although, it also works fine, just a little looser, without the bandana. My guess is that the hat will still fit larger heads but possibly fit higher than on my head? Hope this helps!

Great quality gardening hat. Shade covers both shoulders, my neck and face. I don't recommend if you need to look up while working, but otherwise I enjoy it very much!

I work outside in SW FL, so a good hat is a must. This hat provides plenty of shade, while also being comfortable AND stylish.It leaves some breathing room between top of head and top of hat.I usually wear a size L/XL with hats, and this one fit me perfectly, not to snug, while also not too loose. Might not be ideal for ppl with small heads.Also very durable, good strong material and doesn't mind getting a little wet.If I had to pick a downside, the hat isn't very portable. You probably won't be able to wear it while driving a car because the seat will get in the way. I wasn't able to wear it with a beach chair strapped to my back because of how wide it is.If you want a bunch of shade, this is the hat to go. If you want something more versatile, and with different size options, perhaps another one would be a better choice.Its definitely worth trying though, especially since Amazon has such a good return policy.

Do not be wooed by surf-brand hats or cheaper knockoffs advertised elsewhere - this is the one to get. I live on Lake Huron and am out paddleboarding or kayaking most days during the summer and needed a comically enormous straw hat to cover my face and shoulders. Took the advice of other reviews and could not be happier; this hat is absolute perfection for what it is intended to do. Namely, protect from the sun and ensure you make those around you laugh in a good-natured way while being secretly jealous.

This hat is excellent at providing shade for your head and neck area. Nice cowboy hat type detail at the top of the hat. I usually wear a 7 1/2, large hat and this hat fits me comfortably. Great purchase, would definitely buy another one.
