I've used this product a total of 2 times. First time loved it, it was perfect dodnt need to use no stick spray or anything. Cleaned it with soap and water let it dry put it up. Went to use it today (return window closed on Feb 18, when i bought it Jan 17th) and every single waffle stuck, no spray and WITH spray. Heated it up until the light turned green, put in the batter, let it cook until light turned green and opened it and it ripped the waffles in half as pictured. Beyond disappointed!

I am not an "appliance person", meaning I don't like having extra things around that take up space unless it is something that I really use. I have been experimenting with recipes since I am gluten and grain free, and this waffle maker has worked well in my endeavors. Easy to use, and no problem with sticking, as long as the unit is hot enough before using and you don't make the mistake of having too much sweetener in the batter (applesauce). Easy cleanup, and fun! Small footprint, so it doesn't take up much space. Win win!

Made the chaffle recipe in the booklet that came with it. Worked well except I didn't know how much batter to place in each section. Other recipes said 3 Tbs, so I did 2 Tbs. Even that was too much, as it overflowed and made a mess. Wise to put the waffle maker on a cutting board or something easy to take to the sink and clean. Overflow got in the grooves and seams of the unit, so that was kinda hard to clean. I should have opted for one with removable plates but I'll keep this one and use it for now.

I have a single iron with a 5" cooking surface that I have used for 4 years making a fast cooked egg, a waffle or chaffles. I was looking forward to a double iron with a very safe surface. This one provides the safe cooking surface, but it makes small waffles....about 3 1/2 inches. I use a lot of chaffles as a bread replacement for sandwich making, all kinds of sandwichs. These smaller chaffles just don't make a very adult size sandwich. I have decided to use it to make cookies, with a very small recipe. The other thing I found inconvenient was that it has too much surface with the built in handle. The batter frequently runs over onto the handle area of the iron. It does not stay well on the waffle surface, making it messy and extra clean up necessary. This I do not have to do with the single iron. Nice idea, but the waffles are just too small to be helpful.

I was diagnosed celiac a few years ago. No more Gluten for me. Bread, from grocery stores, s very expensive and not always that good tasting. I have been seeing people use the waffle makers for several yummy eats that I wanted to try. Well...this little machine did not disappoint me. I have had the best gluten free hamburger buns made on this waffle iron in juts a few minutes. I can't wait to try some other recipes.
