Very ez to work with. Love that the metal handle doesn't get hot. Love that you use a small pot of water and use little heat to keep it boiling and melting old candles. I suppose you could use this for chocolate melting as well.

When I opened the package I thought this is going to be too small. However, it was just perfect. I really like how easy it is to tilt so I can use up the last of the chocolate while covering a whole cherry. Easy to clean. I am very happy with my purchase.

This is a fabulous little double boiler, but.... It says it has the capacity of two cups and it does if you measure to the very exact top of the pot. However if you want to lift it up without spilling and/or stir it (and who does not want to do those?) it will not work. You can only effectively work with 1 1/2 cups or so. Perhaps this is my mis-understanding for not knowing how double boilers are described. Also, the plastic scraper is a no-go. It does not in any way fit to the shape of the pot and is way too large for the small pot. The quality of the pot seems to be pretty good, so I may buy a larger one after I have tested this one for a bit.

This is just what I needed for making Hollandaise sauce for my eggs Benedict. I also use a double boiler once a year around Christmas time to make candy. This will work well for small batches but it is not large enough to melt large amounts of chocolate etc. When it comes to melting chips and other things, I wouldn't try more than about 1.5 cups at a time in this.
