Adjusting Lever was the same for each side I bought one for each side which does not work since each side requires a different lever I did not buy on here but bought at parts store

My car type is Ford Taurus 1999. The longest one on the right of the picture has a too narrow notch that doesn't fit in the drum brake shoe. The "T" shaped one on the top left of the picture has a short arm that can't connect the brake shoe and the adjuster.

Direct fit replacement on 1992 Thunderbird for rear right wheel, one star less because they should sell the kit for both wheels.

As mentioned in the previous review, the parts are not the same for the left side and the right side. These fit many different models.

I have a 1999 Mercury Sable that did some time in Illinois and Michigan, so the entire brake assembly was a big rusted mess (from the salt used on the roads to melt the snow). This kit fits great! (Just remember that what you will get here is only to fix one side of the car. If you are going to do the drum brakes on both sides, you also need to get a HW2652 kit also sold on Amazon. They aren't interchangeable because the shoe adjusting levers are made to be mirror-images and then the adjusting wheels rotate opposite each other. I bought two HW2653's and had to send one back because I thought these would work both sides of the car. Now I know!). Saved me tons of money doing my own brakes.
