Once we got the old part off and the new one on and close the trunk the trunk button nor the key pad for the trunk didn’t worked no more which means the trunk doesn’t open at all anymore ;(

Although the part opened & closed the trunk, the computer did not recognize the trunk as closed. The car would not lock.

Fuse kept blowing for the trunk release (key fob & dash button). This was the perfect fix for the issue. Replaced it myself in under 30 mins. Works like a champ again and without the big$$$ a dealership would charge for such a simple fix.

The only problem I had was that the OEM protective cover did not fit without activating a dash light that the trunk lid was not closed. The protective cover was not necessary for proper operation of the latch, but would have been good to keep from doing damage to something being place in the trunk or bumping ones head. This application was on a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu LT.
