Following YouTube vid for reference i found cause of my 2016 caravan door buzzing when unlocking. Not as cheap as they posted. But better than some stores around me.After being told it " will not work, will not fit" i knew it would and it does. So much for that 150+ quote i was told

This was a perfect fit for my 2006 Dodge Grand Caravan without power sliding doors. This worked perfectly. The installation is technically extremely simple. I made one mistake which my brain took a while to work through (which I was mad at). Here it is: The arm on the actuator slides over top of the lock mechanism inside the door and I missed this for 30 minutes on a project that should only have taken 30 minutes on the high end. Once I got past that, which was irritating, the item worked like a charm and continues to work perfectly. There are no instructions since it is quite simple. Check youtube for a video demonstration. You will need a drill and a bit to get through the metal on the door to get to the installation screw which I lost in the door well and just used a new screw from my boxes of miscellaneous screws, nuts, bolts and washers. Thanks

I was a little skeptical of getting this product after reading the reviews. I generally take reviews with a grain of salt as the most negative reviews tend to be about the shopping experience and not the product. On the other hand the most positive reviews sometimes are just too short. This review should be worthwhile to those thinking about installing this unit.My vehicle is a 2006 Grand Caravan and I needed to replace the passenger power door lock actuator. I viewed other peoples descriptions and watched a video on doing the replacement. Non were exact but close enough, it is relatively simple but only if the manufacturer has assembled the door correctly. It amazes me how crappy the car companies will make a vehicle and sell it for over $20,000.Firstly, the door panel needed to be removed, no screws needed to be removed (other caravans or doors have screws) for doing this but when you pop the clips out the panel will catch on the lock button so it needs to be cleared out of the way. Then you will find a thick plastic barrier that does not need to be completely removed, merely pulled away from the rear of the door. There you will see a foam plastic piece that almost falls out from a hole that reveals the actuator and cable. A metal link is attached to the actuator arm that is retained with a clip that locks in the metal link. You need to reach in and push this clip down hard until it snaps loose. The metal link can then be pulled away from the actuator. Once this is done there is a torx screw that holds the actuator to the door sheet metal. There is an access hole to get the screw out. Be aware, if the hole is misaligned like mine you will have to open the hole with some tin snips or you can take out the 3 screws that holds the entire door lock assembly (not recommended). I took out the 3 screws to get at the screw in the actuator. Once the actuator is out you can disconnect the socket by pressing the plastic tab where the socket locks in to the plug.I put the new unit in by attaching the screw and plugging in the socket. I did a test and all seemed just fine. I put everything back in place but had some trouble reattaching the panel to the door. I found that the thick plastic barrier was misaligned where the clips had been pushed hard through the plastic, in two places. I cut away the area that needed trimming and the panel fit just right. When I tested the lock again it did not work right and I had to remove the panel to inspect what was wrong. What I found was the actuator and lock worked fine but with the panel in place it did not because the lock button was rubbing against the side of the insert in the panel when it goes up and down creating friction. I bent the metal rod gently where the knob could move freely in the hole through the panel. If you want this product to work the way it is supposed to you must check the metal linkage between the lock button and the actuator so everthing can move freely, otherwise your actuator will fail prematurely due to the resistance. It is not the fault of the component, just the lack of quality of the manufacturer.

I had just purchased a 2006 Chrysler Town & Country. Both sliding door locks did not operate with the remote or interior switches. At first I thought I was missing something as far as a childproof feature was activated or something but after reading some of these other reviews, I was relatively certain that this part was bad. Still being a little skeptical, I only ordered 1 to see if it worked.I didn't want to destroy my trim by using the wrong tools, so I ordered special trim removal tools from a Chrysler parts supplier. With all my ducks in a row, I started the job. It turns out that the only tool needed to remove the trim was the under $2 plastic trim removal stick and not the other $40 tool. Also, a flat blade screwdriver would have worked so I really didn't need to order anything. The only other tools needed for the job was a #2 phillips screwdriver, a #15 Torx bit and arc joint pliers.I chose the drivers side door to fix first since that is the one I would normally use the most. I'm glad I did as there was an access hole for the single screw that mounted the actuator. The passenger side did not have the same access hole so I drilled one. Removing the whole mount looked like it would be a nightmare as you can't see any of the bolts or nuts that hold it in place. The actuator comes with both levers with one mounted and the other in the bag. You may need to change the lever depending on which side you are replacing. It mounts with 1 screw and has an arrow to line it up so make sure you line up the arrow exactly like on the old actuator. After removing the single mounting screw and connecting arm, the actuator slides out of its mount. When installing, make sure the pin drops in the slot in the actuator lever. As mentioned by other reviewers, the tolerance is off on the electrical connector and it did not lock into place, even using a lot of force. That's where the arc joint pliers come into play. Simply put one side of the pliers on the connector and one side on the body of the actuator and squeeze. It's been a month now and both locks work great! I probably should knock off a star on the review for the tolerance issue on the connector, but this is by far a great price for this part, and hopefully the tolerance issue will be resolved on the next batch of parts.Update: 9-29-12After having 2 of these actuators in use, 1 of them failed after about 10 months. When the door was electrically locked by the actuator, the actuator would physically jam and you could not operate the door lock manually. I tried it repeatedly with the actuator in my hand with the same results. The other actuator was still operating correctly.I read where someone stated that Amazon would not exchange their part and instead referred them to Dorman. On Dorman's website, they state that warranty exchanges are handled through the place of purchase. If you dig, you will find that Amazon honors manufacturer warranties for automotive parts. I found out that this type of exchange cannot be done through Amazon's normal procedure for returns no matter how many things I clicked on. I ended up phoning them and arranged for the part to be picked up right at my home. All I needed to do was package it back up. UPS even brought the label and a receipt for me. The other option is taking it to UPS yourself.I should also mention that I chatted online with Dorman and found out that they corrected the tollerance issue on the connector that kept it from locking into place back in December of 2011. They said that stores with old stock may still have some of the problem parts. The good news, is that the replacement that I received from Amazon on 9-27-12 had no issues. It locked right in, unlike the older ones that I orderd in September of 2011.I knocked off 1 star from my original review for the part failure but am pleased that Amazon replaced it under the manufacture's lifetime warranty at no cost to me.
