This sensor was purchased for a 2014 Grand caravan to fix a "P0523 - Engine oil pressure sensor/switch circuit high input" error code. A special thin walled deep socket is needed to remove the old sensor and install this Dorman replacement. The space is tight but can be done with a 6" ratchet extension. This switch is a direct fit for OEM and the thread is treated with thread seal to prevent leaking.There are several YouTube videos showing the exact steps.The check engine light was cleared and have not returned after 200km. This new sensor returns idle and load oil pressure numbers in line with expected values.There are many sensors available for 1/3 the price but I had one such sensor which came preinstalled on an upgraded aluminum oil cooler which failed after just 1.5yrs of use.

Unsure of why on Dorman’s website it says that the switch won’t work on a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 but it does, fixed my oil pressure gauge reading and works flawlessly. Time will tell if this part will fail or last a long time as did the OEM part that was installed from the factory. Will update.

Grate price! Hard to install/torque down. Taking out old broke one was easy (Connector wouldn't come off) but resistance installing and I backed it off to make sure lined up threads. No leak with plumbers tape.

Replacement of my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee oil cooler was hassle enough to warrant swapping a Brand New sensor out even though the old one could've been taken off the old cooler and reused. There's no telling how long my old sensor would have lasted. I had peace of mind knowing that if there were any problems with the oil cooler repair at least I'd be sure this sensor wouldn't/shouldn't be among them.Its been about 2 months and im 100% happy with my decision & purchase.

Fit right in. Had to get in just the right position to get it in. Need to order the socket that fits the switch. A regular socket won't work.

Used this sensor when I replaced the engine oil filter housing on a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee (3.6L V6). It has a about 6,000 miles on it so far and is working without issue.
