I'm trying to fix up my 07 wrx and this is one of the parts that needed replaced. I have lots of projects so I don't always get to them right away. I'm not getting around to installing all the parts and come to find out this product is not correct as it wouldn't fit my calipers and of course it's to late to return. On top of it, when you replace this item, you also have to replace the bearings in the steering knuckle so not only did I have to replace the bearings for a second time I also had to get correct backing plates.

I purchased these to install the better two piston Subaru rear calipers from a 06 turbo WRX. Amazon indicates that these fit the application, however they do not. They are for a base model Impreza, with smaller rotors, and single piston sliding calipers. Buyer beware if you’re purchasing these for rear STI Brembos or Subaru 2 Pot calipers.

Fit perfect. Well made. Checked the subaru parts website to confirm the part# matched exactly before ordering. Some of the other negative reviews call for a different part#, so not surprised they didn't fit. Factory backers are $160/each - so this is a deal.

Holes didn't match had to modify them to make them work and I had scratched them so I couldn't return it so I made it work

I have to agree with the other reviewer. These are just defective. I have a number of Subarus and can verify that it's not that it's the wrong part, it's manufactured with the holes in the wrong position. I think the bolt circle dimension is off. Maybe there is just a bad batch of them out there right now, but I'm returning these rather than exchanging them. I guess I get OEM ones.

To be fair to Amazon, I purchased a set of these from RockAuto.com, not Amazon. To be fair to anyone else thinking about buying them, I had a HELL of a time getting them to fit. The four boles holes that are pre-drilled in these back plates DO NOT line up with the holes they need to on the knuckle; a couple of them were off by almost an 1/8th of an inch. In order for me to get them to fit I had to drill with the biggest drill bit that I had, ream with a tapered 3/4" reamer for awhile then file with a round file until I finally did it. I wasted an afternoon trying to get these to work. I suppose a larger, more aggressive round file would've made things go easier but I was stranded with a non-driveable vehicle and didn't have access to one. Although the only alternative to these was twice as expensive, if I was anxious to get the job done I would buy a different brand next time.
