This fortifies the hose against damage, preventing holes and helping to ensure that the washer fluid reaches the windshield without impediment.

Like the other reviews, the hose is crammed in a box so it is a bit out of shape. I didn't even heat up and reform mine. The hose is so flexible there was no need. Getting to the hose connection on the reservoir pump was a pain in the you know what, but I got it removed and the new hose on. The hose did fix my leak. 06 Tahoe LT

Received this for my 03 Silverado 1500. Installed with no issues. Keep in mind this only goes from the washer tank to the fuse box area. If you want the section that runs the rest of the way you will have to buy separately. Otherwise, no issues.

Just like others have posted, this comes all crumpled up in too small of packaging therefore is sharply bent in the wrong locations and directions. In the end, I made this work but not without becoming completely disgusted with it.Only the ONE bend near the end of the hose was in the right place but once correcting the others with careful use of a temperature controlled heat gun as to not melt the damn thing in two, it had to be re-formed in the correct direction to correctly come up from the pump, make a 90 near the top of the radiator support, then make another 90 back towards the windshield at the inner fender.Quite frankly, i expect a heck of a lot better from Dorman. The line should have either been made of more pliable material or packaged a LOT better coiled up in a large flat plastic or paper bag to avoid having to be crumpled up in a cardboard box that is too small. The stock hose was crumbling in two different locations so I really couldn't salvage it and did not want to but buy generic vacuum line to make my own but in hindsight, that's exactly what I should have done as this was really a poor excuse for a preformed line.

My hose on pick up ,rotted out up by battery, this is the correct hose that fits from washer pump to the connection behind fuse block. It comes all bent out of shape to fit in shipping box. You’ll need to heat it up a bit to straighten it out enough , I used a hair dryer. Some people say they put it into hot water to soften it up enough to bend into shape, connections hold well no leaks . I can now clean windshield again,

The tube is a hard plastic and to ship, is folded and looks bad. However with some gentle persuasion it installed well and works fine.

This front washer hose fits many years Chevrolet Silverado - mine is a 2002. It runs from the washer reservoir to a connection just past the battery on the fender. Because it comes bent up to fit inside a standard box for shipping, you will need to adjust the over-bends. They need to be straightened a little to approximately 90 degree bends. This can be verified by looking at the old part before it is removed. Some people have mentioned using hot water or a heat gun to soften the bends. For simplicity, I used a candle in a glass jar. I held the over-bent sections about two inches above the flame and moved the part back and forth and rotated it as much as I could until it started to loosen each bend. I stopped when the bends were at approximately 90 degrees.Check online for advice on the labor to replace the part. I had dropped the part into place for rough alignment. I discovered that I was able to reach the elbow hose connection at the reservoir pump from under the truck by reaching up behind the bumper. I used a fork-shaped panel removal tool to pry the hose off, although a screwdriver may have also worked. My arm got soaked as the washer fluid started pouring out, but I was prepared for that and I pressed on the new elbow quickly. I may not have actually needed to remove the battery for this job, but I had taken it out already.Other purchasers have noted that the part did not last long for them. I just installed mine today. I will updated my review if I have any problems.Update 5/6/22: Since installing this hose last year, I have had trouble with it a few times. The rubber tip on this hose does not have a strong grip on the washer tank pump. It sometimes holds for a short spritz of washer fluid on the WS, but will likely pop off with a prolonged blast and leak all the fluid onto the ground. I’m thinking of tightening it with a small zip tie.3/18/24: Small zip ties on both ends of the hose worked for almost a year as the truck sat parked most of the time. When I needed the washer, the hose popped off the reservoir pump and will not reliably stay attached. Can’t find an AC Delco brand, so I will reorder this hose in hopes that they have improved the design since 2021.

Fits perfectly and it's the correct fit I just hit it with a heat gun and pulled the curves out of it a bit in the middle so they were 90 degrees back to back. For those who say it's wrong it's not just straighten out the elbows a little and it's perfect
