Amazon fitment says it doesn't fit my vehicle. I have a 2012 suburban and it fit perfectly with no modifications. Bought this to replace the worn out boots that were falling apart from age and wear.

I bought the original set and quickly learned that there is NO rushing in the install of these parts as my first order tore. amazon quickly sent out a replacement and when i took my time installing it did not tear.I would rather have this than nothing and the rubber tear factor is probably due to it being very easy to conform to the angles in which the cables need to be used at. so i don't necessarily say that its not a Dorman issue but instructions to a very SLOW and CAREFUL install will get the results you need.

These rubbers did not come with the hardware kit I purchased from my local Auto store. Ordered these from Amazon ,had them the next day , got my truck back on the road.

This is the solution for a torn parking brake cover for a 4th gen Camaro / Firebird / Trans Am. This is for the 1998-2002 style parking brake. The haynes manual doesn't say anything about how to fix, bit it's rather simple.Take pictures, release parking brake then remove the screw I believe 5/16" that holds the parking brake shoe. Them slide it off downward preferably but you can also pull upward. Then remove the pistons on either side and push pin from the non adjuster side. Do not loose that pushpin it locates the lever and prevents the lever from coming out of the mechanism. Then remove the 2 back bolt/screws, I believe they are 5/16" to remove the metal plate which retains this rubber gasket. pull the lever our from behind out. If desired you can then remove it from the brake line. Clean the internals, add these seals with the lever opening toward the pushpin side (not the star adjuster side), grease the internals with a silicone based grease (I use the kind for brake caliper pins), then reassemble in the reverse order you disassembled. So not over torque the small screws, the torque should be 44 inch lbs (not a lot).

I replaced these two a year ago. The LHS is completely trashed just like the old one. The RHS is holding on in one piece but i can see rubber cracking already. Not good

These brake boot levers are just the trick for a 98-02 Camaro/Firebird! Yes folks they will work on the mighty F body! Unfortunately NOBODY makes a backing plate to replace the obsolete ones (sadness) and I need to live with some pretty crusty ones for now (much sadness). I'm sure these boots will add at least 20 MPH to my top end as there is now no parasitic drag from the old ones flapping in the wind and these are much more aerodynamic.

Not even close to being a correct fit. The hole for the lever is much too small (see photo). The one on the right is what is left of the original and the one on the right is the new one. Also as the a previous reviewer stated the rubber really is of poor quality and splits with almost no effort. Recommendation: don't waste your time on money on this product.
