Needed this fitting as a replacement for a rusted and rotted out section of transmission cooling line that was leaking on an Explorer. The dealer part would have been very expensive - this fitting did the job and allowed me to repair the leak at a fraction of the cost.

Showed it wouldn't fit our 2011 ford explorer but looked identical. I ordered it anyways and while I was waiting for it in the mail I went to Dorman's website and confirmed it wouldn't fit so I got one from ford. After it showed up I checked and it would have worked afterall but since I got one from ford and already installed it I returned this one. Dorman just needs to update their fitment chart

I needed to replace the trans cooler lines on my 2007 F250 6.0 Diesel, the old lines were extremely tough to get out so I figured I would replace the push to connect fittings as well, however, from Ford you have to buy a whole radiator to get these fittings. These worked perfect

This is a great part and price... OEM part was $50-$80 bucks for one... this was like $12 for two! These parts ended a nightmare for me and stopped transmission line leakage. Very nice deal! Said it would not fit my truck, but it did... I do know different years have same size trans line, but different threads on the fitting. FYI

The fittings screw into the radiator just fine, but the opening where the male transmission lines inset is too small. Will not fit the OEM trans cooler lines.

Worked fine on the Radiator. These Fittings did work with the replacement OEM Lines at the radiator on my 2005 F250 with 5.4L engine 5 Speed Transmission, FX4, 4x4, snow plow prep, XLT package with factory external transmission cooler. What was strange is that on this Truck there are 4 of these fitting on the external transmission filter housing,Right front passenger side lower engine compartment.2 fittings face the front of the truck the other 2 fittings face the rear of the truck. This item worked on the front left transmission line on the housing. But it would not work on the front right side of the filter housing. The fitting screwed in Just fine into the housing, but the new factory OEM transmission line was bottoming out inside of the fitting and would not lock in. I was able to use the original OEM fitting after fighting to free it from the line on the bench. The new OEM factory line locked right into the old factory fitting but not the Dorman fitting. I compared the new OEM line to the old OEM line and they were exactly the same. That line on the right front of the filter housing must be 1/16 of an inch too long to lock into this Doorman fitting. But like I said this doorman fitting worked fine at the radiator and at the front left side of the external transmission filter housing. I don't know if it works on the rear 2 lines on the external filter housing as I did not need to replace anything there. Got the Job done.Used 2 Dorman fittings at the Radiator and one at the left front of the filter housing. Be sure to push your transmission lines ALL the way into these fittings, You can be fooled into thinking that the line is all the way in when its not. After you install the line into the fitting. Try to pull it back out with some muscle. Of course if it doesn't pop back out your locked in.

So I bought a 2005 F250 that the transmission lines were leaking badly on due to severe corrosion. I ordered some new lines and went about replacing them. Well the quick connect fittings were so rusted they wouldn't disconnect the line with the disconnect tool and I ended up destroying them. Google revealed that Ford doesn't sell just the fittings you have to buy a whole new radiator, which is total BS! So I did some more digging and found these, even though it says they won't work on the F250's the reviews and comments said otherwise so being desperate not to spend an insane amount of money on a new radiator just to get two new fittings I decided to order these and hope they fit. Well they came and I installed them and they were a perfect fit. Saved me hundreds of dollars from buying a radiator. I did read some reviews where people said the lines blew off. I'm wondering if they didn't have the Ford factor plastic retainers installed on the lines that prevent from blowing out. Anyways if that happens on mine i'll come back and update the review appropriately. For now these things rock and saved me a ton of cash!
