These Dorman brand upgraded heater hose connectors are great quality they fix a problem on these GM trucks that could possibly cause complete coolant lose when the cheap original equipment connectors fail I would definitely purchase again

OEM is plastic these are solid metal. Betting they will last a long time. Not too difficult to install with the push tool also available here. Recomend replacing the pair you see under the hood at the same time for peace of mind.

They fit just as good as factory quick connect fittings. They fit both sides of the heater core. Take your time cutting the plastic band off factory fitting don't just cut heater hose or it will be too short to reach the heater core. I made that mistake.

Solid construction. After the OEM broke and then the Dorman plastic ones shearing off, I was thinking of just connecting the hose directly to the heater core. I came across these, though, and saw the reviews. YES, bite the bullet and get these and you won't have to worry. These are very solid and a worthwhile upgrade. Aftermarket part quality these days seems to be going down the toilet - it's very nice to find an aftermarket product that is a better quality than original part. Highly recommend.

The plastic one broke at 283k miles. This metal body will last many years. Probably longer than the truck.

Looks like it’s good quality, but the barbed end is too small for the gmc heater hose, had a confirmed fit with Amazon and still didn’t fit.

I'm here to tell you i'm not a fan of dorman products. However they do subcontract some of their items out. This is a very common failure rate on the silverado pickups. For the twenty dollars it costs it is well worth the peace of mind knowing Is that this will not fail. Maybe the o- ring inside eventually. Strongly suggest doing this upgrade to your silverado. Or eliminate this part and direct connect the five eighths heater hose to the heater core with a clamp. A little bit of antifreeze around the nipple it slips right into the hose. Seems to be a good fit on the heater core. I only have had this on the truck two weeks. But I believe these will be better than the plastic stock park.

Being metal it won’t break as easy like the old plastic one did.Especially needed if you delete the EGR system.
