I removed old inlet tube and tried installing new tube but I could not get it to go in. Maybe I should have used more lube..? I took off the O ring on the old tube and it looked perfect so I put it on the new tube and it went in with just a little work. no leaks.

This fit my 2003 Chrysler Town and Country perfectly. I changed this, the water pump, the lower radiator hose and the serpentine belt at the same time. There are no leaks from any of the components. This inlet tube was not leaking, I simply changed it due to the amount of rust / corrosion on my old tube. I didn't want to have to tear back into things after changing the water pump.

Replaced with the radiator since the old assembly looked in rough shape. Came with 2 rubber gaskets (thin / thick). Not quite sure which one was supposed to be used since the large one was way to difficult to install (even with silicone lube) and the thinner one didn't feel tight enough. I ended up using the original and I didn't have an issue. Otherwise it fit nicely.

Part fit as advertised. No need to grease O ring.To remove old tube, engine MUST BE COLD.Loosen, but don't remove, both 13MM bolts securing tube. If the hose clamp is OEM, loosen clamp on bottom hose by squeezing it until clamp locking tab engages. Slide the clamp at least 3" away from the tube side of the hose. Place a bucket with at least a 2 gal. capacity under hose/tube connection point, Use a flat screw driver to gently break contact of rubber hose from tube, then slowly twist hose off of tube. Coolant will GUSH out, so go slow! After draining, remove both 13MM mounting bolt holding the tube to the engine. Push down on the tube where it connects to the hose, draining any coolant left in the tube. GENTLY rock the tube front to back, and side to side to disengage the O ring seal.Install the replacement tube by lining up the O ring to the bottom of the water pump housing. GENTLY rock it side to side, and back and forth to get it to align, then, tap the tube at the bottom 90 lightly with a rubber mallet. You will see the O ring push up into place. Install both 13 MM bolts until HAND TIGHT. Tap the bottom of the tube to fully seat the O ring. Mounting bracket should be flush with the water pump housing mating surface. Tighten both bolts to spec.Replace the rubber hose, and align the clamp to it's original position on the hose using the indents on the hose as a guide. Once aligned, insert a flat-blade screw driver into the stirrup-shaped side of the clamp, and push down on the opposite side, releasing the clamp catch. The clamp will snap into place with force, so be carful!Run engine, and check for leaks.
