Once I got the part, it did not fit my vehicle at all. It says that it was for a Ford F250 my transfer case is way bigger than this. I don’t know what you would use this for maybe a four-cylinder vehicle of some sort maybe I don’t know but this is Garbage.

The first one wasn’t engaging properly and had to be returned, but the replacement works great. And the price is awesome! Follow the instructions closely, the “pin’ has to be in the correct position on the installation.

I have a ‘99 7.3 diesel f250 and my 4x4 stopped working. I put this transfer case shift motor in and everything works as it should. Seems good quality but I haven’t had it in very long.

2003 F-250 6.0Been on the truck for a years now. I use the 4x4 often on the farm and I have had no issue. I was awfully skeptical for the price but as often as I use 4x4 I would buy this again if it went out today. Was a bit of a pain to get installed. It says NOT to turn the motor to make it fit but that was literally the only way this product was going to go on. Line the male and female notches up and then force the motor to turn back just a smidge and it will go on. I spent hours wrestling with it before I decided to use this method against this products warning label.

A week prior of this the 4x4 worked. The last week or so my 4x4 light would come on every now and then when i'd start up the truck. I would turn off the truck and crank it back up and it would go away and finally one day I checked to see if the 4x4 worked... No 4x4 light or anything. I checked all the fuses and then the 2 relays that are by the driver firewall. I pulled them both out and checked between the 87A and 30 pin to see if there was continuity, they both checked out good which led me to believe to the transfer case motor switch was bad. When doing this install I repeat DO NOT move the connector on the motor switch to align with the transfer case shaft. Instead use a Cresent wrench to manually turn the shaft to align with the motor switch which is set to 4Hi out of the box. Use dielectric grease on the connectors, blue loctite on the (3) 10mm bolts and tighten down to 15ft lbs=180 inch lbs.
