Plastic retaining barb snapped off upon insertion into bracket. Original cable barbs where still pliable even after 27 years.Purely substandard material.

I replaced this actuator cable at the same time I replaced the actual vacumn actuator assembly in order to provide a thorough update to the original parts.I can report that this cable fits exactly as the OEM cable it replaced.Update 9/20/23I have a leak coming from the cable fitting on the end with the threaded collar that I have not been able to remedy. It is a constant drip that eventually leaves quite a mess under the truck. I am thinking better of having bought this aftermarket part and installing it.

The actuator that fits this is under the battery tray. The vacuum tubing on mine was completely came off the actuator. Strange! It shouldn't happen because the vacuum sucks in, not spit it out..... Anyway one end goes in the actuator clip and the other end to the front differential.... If you are changing the actuator, make sure you pay bit more and get Dorman. The others do not have inner spring.

This actuator is very good. Super easy to install. No issues with this cable at all. I like that the threaded end is not attached to the cable. Recommend this cable for sure!

This item worked. It got my 4wd working again. As I have seen others comment, there was a burr on the fitting on the end of the cable where it is crimped to the cable. This burr prevents the fitting from sliding into the hollow in the shift fork inside the differential. I had to file this burr off to get the cable to fit. Once I removed the burr, installation was smooth sailing, and this cable was about half the price of any others I saw. I would buy it again, but I would check the fit before I routed this up to the diaphragm and attached it to the plastic housing on the differential.

It's what I needed but the plastic clips that go into actuator broke. And it was nothing I did. Just poorly made

I bought this for my 2002 Chevy Blazer it's exactly like the original in it. My 4x4 broke a vacuum line but decided to also replace the cord since it pulled so hard there should be some kind of lubricant in these so it takes a longer time to corrode maybe you can do it to the new one.
