I was happy when this item finally arrived. I installed it according to the directions and it worked OK all except the temperature reading lights. It was very dim, really hard to see what number was being displayed. A few days later the display went out and the unit stop working. I went through the process of returning it. Amazon charged me $37.60 for restocking a defective unit which doesn't make any sense. I would've never returned it if it was working properly. They (Amazon) also put my refund on a Amazon gift card instead of putting it back on my credit card. I'm in the process of filing a complaint. I'm not happy with Amazon at this time for over looking this simple mistake.

I found a guy who refurbs these controls and he was $200. But with the rebate offered this is an amazing deal for this module. Yes it is refurbished, but the step motors that control the knobs are notorious for going bad in these years of GM cars. So a refurb is just fine with me.

This item had issue that required me to purchase some cleaner, remove each of the two knobs, and clean the posts. After installation which is very easy, it was clear that moving the dials in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction caused the preset numbers to jump all over and not follow a logical "up of down" sequence. This is because the posts were dirty as well as the inner parts of the unit. A simple YouTube search will find you the solution, but the bottom line is the seller should've checked that the unit was working before shipping. It's an older part, so clearly it has been sitting on a shelf for a while. I'm glad I knew what to do, but didn't appreciate having to purchase the cleaning fluid and do what the seller should've done prior to shipping it.

My alternator broke so I kept driving until the battery completely died. That made all of my electronics sketch out and my climate control module fried as well. This left the heat on high (idk why) and it's 80 in FL. Took me 5 minutes to install in my Yukon. super easy

First unit operated for 5 months and then stopped operating the vents. Replacement came and only half the lights work The main screen has no lights They refuse to replace the unit and will only refund leaving me without a core to buy from other vendors

Had to return the first control panel. Amazon Part Filter said 599-211 was compatible with 2003 Silverado but wasn't. Called Dorman Technical and they me the right part number (599-009), reordered and it arrived about 6 days later. The left side temperature control was worn out on the original, but now the AC System works perfectly as OEM. Only minor complaint is it doesn't totally match my existing greenish blue dash light color, but the truck is 17 years old... geez. But no one would notice unless they were the original owner (me). ACDelco doesn't make a replacement AC Control Panel like that any longer for my 2003. The truck is still in very good condition and now thanks to the Dorman Tech Staff, everything is "working" like new so I really can't complain. "Give'um 5 Stars".
