About this item

  • Handy design - specifically made to make prying off wiper arms simple and easy; just fit the metal lip into the notch in the base of the arm and lever it straight out
  • Near-universal use - works well with arms that have a small notch on their base; look for an indent where the arm attaches to confirm it will work on your vehicle application
  • Protects equipment - keeps you from having to use other tools or excessive force that could damage the arm or other components
  • Mechanic must-have - grab one of these inexpensive tools, throw it in your toolbox, and the next time you need it the job will be that much easier
  • Support available - every Dorman part is backed by Dorman's ASE Blue Seal Certified technical support team

Need to remove a wiper arm? This handy, near-universal puller tool makes it incredibly easy on most designs. Just align the tool parallel with the arm, fit the tool's metal lip into the notch in the base of many wiper arms, and use the offset shape of the handle - pushing on the handle while pulling on the lip - as a lever to pry the arm straight off its post. Grab one, throw it in your tool box, and whenever you need it your life will be that much easier.

I used to use a screwdriver and a open ended wrench, which was nerve racking and usually ended up with minor scratches on the wiper arm and possibly the paint. This makes removing the wiper arms so easy and quick. No scratching anything. No having the wiper arms POP off causing damage as you try to remove them. Well worth the money, even if you only need it once.

This thing works great. Made removing the wiper arms from my 68 Ford fast and easy. I saw it used on YouTube and bought it immediately. If you have old style wiper arms get one.

I couldn't get it to engage with the lip of the wiper despite it having the notch as detailed on online videos. The metal bent very easily. Wonder why there are hundreds of reviews but none from the UK?

Bought this to remove wipers from a '68 Chevy. They worked just fine. Took about 5 seconds each wiper. Just make sure to place the tool on the wiper properly and use common sense when handling. People who say this doesn't work are likely not using it properly. This is a simple tool that is cost-effective and works fine for what it is.

Haven't tried to pull wiper arm yet, but this tool looks like the only way to get in the tight space around wiper arm shaft to pull off the arm. Seems pretty sturdy even though it is not real thick.

This tool works perfectly for what it was designed for. It is made for removing a specific type of wiper arm. In my case I bought it for my 1968 Chevy pickup but it will work for a number of older GM vehicles. It took me about 5 seconds per arm to get them removed. It is so much easier than the old method of trying to push up on the clip with a screwdriver or using a rag and a screwdriver to pry up on the arm (a very easy way to mess up your paint). The reviews that say the tool is flimsy or doesn't work at all either don't know how to use it or are using it on the wrong style of wiper arm.

This is a useless products and does not come with good instructions. I wish they had shown me in advance that it was not a product to remove the arm. All it does is help you remove a cover so that you can get to a nut. Since you're going to throw away the old arm anyways it doesn't matter if you break the cover. You could easily remove this cover with a screwdriver or a pair of pliers. The tool was flimsy and bent up easily.

As long as you know exactly how to use this tool - it is worth its weight in gold. It is easy to not use correctly, as you must only catch the thin outer edge of the base of the arm where it slips over the post. It is easy to slip under the post itself then you will get nowhere. When used correctly and precisely this tool is the ONLY way to remove typical wiper arms from their posts. It may take a little finesse and patience but they will come off. This is a required tool to make fine-tune the position of the arms on the posts as they often require removal and replacement to get them just right.
