I removed the factory air cleaner and this part fits the aluminum L82 valve covers perfectly for a 3/4" breather cap.

Dorman specs indicate that the OD of this thing is about 1-3/8". It turns out that the largest (and largely irrelevant) dimension is that size. The panel (valve cover?) hole that it fits into is quite a bit smaller than that, about 1".
