This rod worked fine and had the same threads as my old one. I simply needed a taller one as I had bought a taller air breather. There is an adapter on one end out of the package for the rod to fit other threads. However if you have a Holley, Edelbrock carburetor you can just remove the adapter and the 1/4" thread of the rod will screw right into your carburetor. The wing nut they include looks cheap but I just used the nut off my old one.

In the photos, it looks like an OEM product but in reality it is very cheap and has China stamped on the wingnut. Not sure what threads are using, but I wasn’t able to use the OEM wingnut either.

Good thing...really long so you have extra material for a second air cleaner. There is a 1/4" to 5/16" adapter on the carb end.Not so good ... Not the best quality threaded rod. It will do the job but not very sturdy.Overall a 6 out of 10. To

Just what I needed, and extended air cleaner hold down rod, the old rod wasn’t long enough after getting a new tall air cleaner this took care of that issue, if it’s too long you can always cut to fit!

The longer rod fit perfectly in an Edelbrock carb and allowed me to use 4 inches of spacer between the base of the air cleaner and carburetor with length to spare. I cut off approximately 1 inch for the perfect fit.
