Best set to buy stainless steel with the proper nuts for torque specs worked great and will buy again, had issues with other parts but kept getting loose or would eventually strip out and require nut splitter equipment to get the bolt extractor that looks like a drill chuck and 1/4 ratchet with deep wells and 3 inch extension and a 1.5 inch extension for removing starter and the steering shaft is in way

These are just standard exhaust studs but much nicer than using bolts to mount them. I believe that they will work out fine. Also the nuts that came with them are locking nuts.

My vehicle, 2008 Malibu with 2.4L Ecotec with 4spd transmission. The Dorman product for the 2.4L Ecotec is 03422. That pack runs about $40. They are 9.8 grade studs/nuts advertised with locking flange nuts. The genuine GM replacements are $5 a piece. It appears they all come with pre-applied red loctite on the head end.I looked everywhere for a cheaper alternative that matched the specs of the OEM ones. Until I came across these, there was only one other set I found & it only had 8 in it.However, this Dorman product, 03411, is a great alternative. They are 10.9 grade studs/nuts. Other than that, the only other differences are these are a tad longer, maybe 5mm or so, & these don't come with pre-applied red loctite. The little longer length is a non-issue. Also, no other set of manifold studs I viewed, for any vehicle, had red loctite pre-applied. I have no idea why the Ecotec set is the only one with that. The old ones that came out of my engine had no evidence of having red loctite on them. So I'll take my chances without it.These studs fit perfectly into the head & the nuts torqued down perfectly, they are locking nuts too, it just doesn't say it on the pack. So pretty much they are a perfect alternative to the "OEM" set that costs 400% more. The Ecotec engines are well known for cracking their manifolds. Haven't seen anyone talking about why they crack though. It's because of a design flaw in the manifold converters they have. The cat converter portion either doesn't let heat dissipate properly under normal function, or they get clogged very quickly thus not allowing to heat to dissipate properly. Either way the heat backup cracks the manifold. In addition to the cracked manifold, 2 of my studs were sheared off. Got what remained out with a quality "easy out" set, but didn't trust the remaining 8's strength. So I used this 03411 set to replace them all. Use a genuine GM manny gasket too. This set worked perfectly for my needs. Can't beat the $8 price!

Use the products on a 2001 Ford F150 exhaust manifold. They should’ve been cheaper for what they are

These were for a built honda race motor, turbo manifold had a thicker flange than stock, the stock bolts are not long enough, plus being a race car the bolts are in and out of aluminum head will strip threads after a few good torque cycles, these are very good , these were able to bury all the way into the head, the tolerances are of machinist quality, threads were nice and tight, no loose thread slap. Comes with locking nuts these are High Quality studs, and the nut is 13 mm as to the stock 12mm...SWEET.. I recommend them......

Economics 101.. Installed 2 of the 8.. Seem 100% fine.. Same price as others are charging for 2. This, considering who manufactured the product.. Was a NO brainer.. These are not just for cars.. They work on small engines (Honda) and many others, as well as motorcycles.. Threads are 8 mm x 1.25 thread count. Pretty standard by todays engineering.

After browsing the interwebs for a while I fond this kit by dorman, I'm not sure what it is designed to fit, but I know that the studs are M8x1.25 thread on both ends which is the correct thread pitch for my ls3 Camaro exhaust manifold hardware. I wanted to switch the factory bolts out for studs that would look nicer with the stainless exhaust headers I installed a few years ago, I loved the look of the arp bolts but I'm not spending 100 bucks on header bolts, I'm sure they are the worlds greatest header bolts but I don't care. these are not stainless but appear to be zinc coated so they shouldn't rust, I did not use the included black nuts because I don't like the way they look. I used some serrated flange 12mm head zinc coated nuts I already had on hand, I needed 2 sets of these to complete my project, there are 10 per package so count up how many you need before you order. fyi these will fit almost anything using metric hardware with 12 or 13mm bolt heads. 8x1.25 is a super common thread pitch.

Replaced studs with these on two 5.4L 3V Ford cylinder heads I had reworked, I had 4 broken studs, so I installed these. They all screwed into the heads perfect, no grab part way in as found in cheap fastners, and once I put the nuts on, nice smooth run up to torque spec and nut is a self lock type. I'd highly recommend them, quality looks great and function too..... the originals had broken on both heads on last two cylinders, so real test is heat cycling, hopefully they'll not snap and last.
