I have had this power adapter for a while now I have never had a problem with it. This keeps my ring doorbell charged all the time and I do not have to swap out batteries. I also don't have to or worry about it going dead and gives me peace of mind that it will always be recording. I would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, I did not use or test the doorbell transformer when it arrived. Due to changes in my rental location, I ended up putting this away to be used in the future when circumstances changed. Today, I pulled it out and attempted to hook up a smart doorbell only to find that the 16 VAC transformer only puts out 3.1 VAC. It is far too late to return it, so the transformer has gone into the recycling bin. If you purchase one of these, make sure to immediately check the output voltage at least.

I needed a solution to power a eufy video doorbell as the house wiring didn’t work. After some research I chose those one and I’m so glad I did I got a second one for my father’s house. This made the insulation of the video painless and saved us so much time, all we had to do is route the wire from a nearby outlet and voilà video doorbell installation was complete. I definitely recommend this to someone needing an alternate way to power a eufy video doorbell.

I use this transformer for my Google Nest Doorbell, and it paired seamlessly. However, the only minor issue I encountered was that its wires were a bit short. Other than that, everything is working perfectly. The installation process was straightforward, and I'm now enjoying the enhanced power supply for my doorbell. It's reassuring to know that my Nest Doorbell will continue to function optimally without any hiccups. Overall, I'm satisfied with the purchase, even though I had to improvise a bit to make the short wires reach the necessary connections.

Original transformer had died. I disconnected everything at the power source and the doorbell, picked a pair of unused wires, and attached this guy using that pair, through to the simplisafe doorbell. Worked perfectly.Most of these modern doorbells have a range of voltages they can take. This transformer is right in the middle, so felt like a good option should I change doorbells in the future.

Update! After recharging the doorbell battery in the house, reinstalled and am happy to report that the batteries are staying fully charged now. Very Happy as the outside temperature was -13F this morning. This plug in transformer was easier than installing a normal doorbell transformer, a lot less of a hassle.Disappointed that this transformer will not keep the battery charged in my new Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release). In all fairness, this could be because of below zero temperatures but I don't think so. It is putting out 18 volts AC but evidently the output amperage (800mA) is not enough to keep the lithium battery charged.

I can now use all of the features of my Ring without worrying about the battery going dead in a few weeks. Installation will ultimately depend on your home layout. I had a plug near my front door and had to drill through the wall to the outside of my home using a very long wood boring bit. Not the most difficult of installs. The charge is not fast but it doesn't need to be. I got all of 3% charge after 24 hours. It works well enough to keep the battery topped off. It would probably take a couple week or more to charge the battery. I've never seen the battery drop in percentage though. Overall this is a very good purchase for eliminating battery anxiety, increasing convenience, and improving the experience of using a smart doorbell.
