Why did you pick this product vs others?:Works as intended. The metal is a little thin, it wouldn't be too hard to break it open but it works well as an additional detterant or if you need to lock someone out and haven't yet changed the lock.

Posnaland Doorknob Lockout DeviceThis device is designed to prevent the rotation of standard round doorknobs, effectively restricting access without needing to replace hardware or drill into doors. It’s especially useful for childproofing, elder care, or temporary room security.Pros:• Tool-Free Installation: Slides over most standard round knobs without needing screws or drills. Great for renters or temporary setups.• Durable Build: Made from heavy-duty metal. Offering solid resistance to tampering or forced entry.• Versatile Use: Ideal for homes, offices, or care environments. This device offers peace of mind where it matters most. Whether it's gently reinforcing boundaries in dementia care to help loved ones stay safe, or creating secure spaces for curious kids, it serves as a quiet guardian, discreet, reliable, and reassuring.• Discreet Design: Available in black, white, or metal finishes that blend with most décor.• Padlock Option: Some models include a padlock for added security, allowing you to control access more precisely.Cons:• Knob-Only Compatibility: Not suitable for lever-style handles, which limits its use on some modern doors.• Limited visual deterrence: Its low-profile design is discreet, but that also means it might not visually signal “keep out” as strongly as bulkier lockout devices, especially in shared or high-traffic spaces.• Limited Ratings: Some models have relatively few reviews, so long-term durability and edge-case performance are still a bit of a question mark.Final Score: 4.0/5.0.The Posnaland Doorknob Lockout doesn’t arrive in a velvet-lined box or whisper “precision engineering” from the packaging. It comes bubble-wrapped and unapologetically utilitarian. Its DIY appearance leans more garage project than showroom hardware, but don’t let the modest introduction fool you.Once in place, it’s all business. The device fit cleanly over my round doorknob, and the included padlock clicked shut with a satisfying finality. It’s not here to impress, it’s here to perform. And perform it does.If Posnaland is the workhorse wrench you grab without hesitation, the big-brand alternatives are the chrome-plated, app-enabled toolkits with espresso machines built in. But let’s be honest: sometimes you don’t need Wi-Fi-enabled fortification, you just need something that keeps young ones out of the utility closet.

THIS IS AMAZING. MY RING WAS BEING DISABLED & ROOMMATE GOING INTO MY ROOM. EASILY BY JUST TURNING THE POWER OFF OF THE ROUTER. THIS IS SIMPLE BUT DOES THE JOB. I BOUGHT IT SO I STILL TURN ON MY RING WHEN I LEAVE ALSO. BUT THE ONLY WAY TO GET IN MY ROOM IS BREAKING THE LOCK. LOVE THIS, GONNA REPLACE WITH MY OWN LOCK BECAUSE I'M NOT SURE IF THEIR LOCKS COME WITH DIFFERENT KEYS. I HOPE NOT BUT I COULDN'T GET A ANSWER ON THAT.
