I have a Cockapoo and a Bichon, the Bichon has lots of thick, curly hair. He HATES grooming but needs it.His problem areas are 1) top of head 2) ears and 3) the tail.He freaks and runs when he sees the brush and spray come out. I would love to say this was different but it wasn’t. He was a bugger to spray and brush. But… it did work and made the brushing easier, the untangling the tail was much easier. His tail now looks like the fluffy white tail he comes home from the grooms with. His ears are adorable and the top of his head fluffy, minimal work.As for the smell. It is nice. Not over strong… to me.He disagreed, it smells too nice for him so he immediately went out and rolled in the yard to get something more to his liking. Like stink bugs or dirt. The Cockapoo liked the process and it did a great job of untangling her tail and ears. All in all I consider this a success. It smells nice, helped smooth the grooming trauma for the Bichon and left them both with shiny coats. It is at least as effective as the detangler I got from my groomer niece, for less money.I took one star off because it does have a small amount of oily feel when using, but an hour later and their coats feel soft, not oily.

It really works, the scent is not bad and doesn't irritate my pup's delicate skin, I had to use a lot based on how matted my pups ears were. The product made it a breeze to brush through the tough areas and based on the cost this will last a long time which is good value for money. I will use this to make grooming a lot easier and cause less fuss for groomer and groomee :)Good product, its a hit with me and my puppy wuppy!

This detangler works really well for curly hair. I have a doodle that is mostly poodle and his long hair on his ears can get easily matted. This smells great and works well.

I have cavapoos. Some of them have super thick poodle hair and it's so difficult to brush out and blow dry. Some of my boys get frizzy with hair drying... this stuff is AMAZING. It's a true game changer for grooming them. It helps to brush them out, and the liquid gets down low to their lower hair against the skin to "unlock" the low matted hair -- that's awesome for their skin health. I am a HUGE fan and will keep this on hand at all times. It also has a really nice scent. This is a great value and saves on professional grooming!

I got this to help detangle my standard poodles hair and it really doesn't seem to work. I'm a curly myself so I know how to use detsngler and this one just isn't doing it for me. I'll continue to try and use it.Bonus...this does not irritate my pups skin and it smells nice.

So hear me out what I love is that this for once isn’t scented. Why is that just a must have for a doodle owner well for starters between the dog perfumes shampoos etc this is something we use in between baths and grooming. Since from time to his hair will get matted or try to and this is to easy to use with brushing to ensure his coat stays shining and knot free highly recommend.

Works okay. I like the smell of the product. You do have to use it liberally to make it work on the mattes. It does have a little bit of a grease feel and will leave behind rings if the bottle has any product has dribbled down the bottle. So be careful using this product around furniture. My dog didn't seem to mind it as much as other detanglers that I have used on her.
