I bought the Donner Arena 2000 Guitar Multi-Effects Pedal for my husband. He likes that it has 278 effects, 100 IRs, and versatile amp modeling. The built-in looper and drum machine are fantastic additions, allowing him to experiment with layers seamlessly. The performance is outstanding—each effect is crisp, and the sound quality is top-notch. Portability is a huge plus; it's compact enough to take anywhere without compromising on functionality. The ease of use is another highlight; it is simple for him to navigate through settings and customize his sound. Overall, this pedal offers exceptional value and versatility, and my husband absolutely loves it!

Has so many features and has really good sound. Very user-friendly. Love the idea of the app that works with it.

I was looking for a multi-effects pedal when I came across this one. I have a lot of Donner products and have been quite pleased with their products. This pedal really outdoes some of the others available. The screen is easy to read, and after taking time to learn how to control things, it is quite intuitive. The sounds are really good as well. I do wish they made a list available of all the built-in effects. This pedal is almost perfect for those looking for a budget-friendly unit.Compared to some of the other pedals I researched, there were some really good advantages to this one:* The display makes it easy to see all of the settings.* Clicking on the selected button enters stomp mode where you can turn on/off two effects. Those effects are listed on the display so you know what you are controlling.* The expression pedal can switch between two actions (switch off for volume, switch on for wah, vibrato, or whatever effect you have assigned - you can set both on and off effects).* Balanced XRL and unbalanced TRS outputs.* Separate volume controls for XRL, TRS, and headphones!* Hold the active button down to switch to the tuner, which is very easy to read.* Settings to adjust the input levels.* Cab modes can be enabled/disabled per output option.* Easy to change the chain order.* Five dials to adjust effect controls.* Mobile and desktop apps to control the device (mobile apps via Bluetooth as well!)!* Ability to add 50 IRs.The only quirk I had to get used to was the touch buttons. The screen isn't a touchscreen, but the mod category buttons are. You have to be aware of where they are when using the dials. If you finger rubs the screen, you can end up either changing to a different effect, or turning one on/off. The input port is closer to the right side of the unit, which is definitely not like most pedals, but not really an issue. The only thing I wish they did was make a bass model, or had an option for bass effects via firmware. I keep looking for a similar bass version, and there are very few in this budget category. The controls are so easy to use for guitar. I have a separate pedal for bass effects - it's just not as intuitive as the Arena 2000. If they ever came out with a bass model, I'll be adding that as well!

First off, it comes with a power adaptor. Hey Donner -- say so in the product description, and in the photos.Pros:1) Darn good pedal! 150 built-in presets -- a few are excellent, most are not, but every one of them is editable with 80 nicely modeled amps, 50 cabs, and well over a hundred effects, drive, delay, reverb, EQ, compression, and gate. It has a 60-second looper (which I haven't used), and 40 drum loops in 10 genres.2) Navigating through the presets is a cinch (but turn the volume down).3) Editing/creating presets and adjusting amps and effects is fairly easy and intuitive, once you learn how.4) The iPhone app connects easily and works well; it’s easy to navigate the presets and effects, but not so easy to adjust them.Cons:Biggest issue: If this thing had a touch screen, and if the screen were larger, the device would be practically flawless. Other issues:1) Fairly steep learning curve.2) Badly written user manual.3) Important buttons are dark-on-dark: impossible to read in anything except bright light, and easy to touch by accident.3) Android app installs but does not run on my Amazon Fire HD8, so I can’t evaluate it.4) Windows software is COMPLETELY USELESS – it installs, but doesn’t recognize the device. This means no firmware updates, and no importing IRs.5) No pass-through: the pedal must be powered on, so you'll probably want to create a couple "clean" presets for pass-through.I’m a living room guitarist, and it was time to step up from my cool little Donner Alpha Cruncher to a multi-effect pedal. I tried – and returned – two different multi-pedals before this one (both of them more expensive). It was a rocky start, but I really like the Donner now. The user manual is simply awful – it doesn’t even tell you how to edit and save a preset (use the “store” button) – and when it does tell you how to do something, it’s convoluted and confusing (I still haven’t quite figured out how to assign the effects pedal). But a couple hours fiddling around will get it working for you.Software: the iPhone app works very well for navigating presets and effects, but it’s difficult to use the app’s tiny control wheels to change things like volume, etc. I use the knobs on the pedal for this. The Android app installs but does not run on my Amazon Fire HD8 tablet, so look elsewhere for that review. I really wish I could control the device from the nice big screen on the Fire. Hey Donner -- make it Fire-compatible, please. And Windows? HUGE FAIL: it installs on Windows 10, but the software refuses to recognize the device when it’s connected, even though Windows recognizes it. Without the Windows software, there will be no firmware updates, and no importing IRs. YO DONNER: FIX THIS, IMMEDIATELY!Donner doesn’t provide a list of presets/amps/effects/etc., so I made one. Amazon won’t let me post a link, but if you search for this string, the first hit will be on a forum called The Gear Page. Scroll down on page 3, and you’ll find the document. Here’s the search string:thegearpage arena 2000 presets________________________________Final disclosure: I returned it after six weeks. It's darn good, but I spent all my time fiddling with the pedal and not playing the guitar. I'm back to the Alpha Cruncher -- one button each for delay, chorus, and distortion, and you really don't need much more than that. Maybe I'll add a single-use pedal or two down the road, but I'm a much happier guitar player.
