The pin quality is good, the pin extractor tool is great! However, the inlay colors are, personally not in good taste. They are different tones (as seen in the stock image) and I did not realize they would clash so much with each other. I would of preferred all the inlays to be one color.Also, Pin diameter is larger than the originals, required working - But they include really good sand paper in the kit!! -

These came nicely packaged. Product is high quality and nicely polished.I like that these came the pin puller, which unlike another brand I recently ordered, actually fits the pins.Also included are three business card sized sheets of sandpaper in three different grits. These came in handy for sanding down the pins to for since they were oversized for my guitar.I know Donner is a budget brand, but there is a reason they get good reviews I guess.Tone of the guitar I installed them on changed for the better coming from plastic pins. Gave it a more open less choked sound.I wish they made an unbleached version. I will be dyeing mine with coffee and tea which worked great on other bleached pins. Picture now added. Could use more time in the tea.

This tool alone is worth the purchase.Other "typical" pin remover tools really can bruise or dent into the bridge material over top or if you are hurrying a string change.This tool is really nice because it works force in a different way and your pins will be happy to come out with this.Also, the bone pin product itself is great.I always expect to sand or shave down a pin to fit the bridge pin hole.And with a pocket knife and some skateboard griptape/sand paper,it takes some while, maybe 14 -24 minutes depending on your day. But I enjoy changing strings and working on my guitar so it's no problem for me.Just expect to sand or learn to sand your pin size unless you have one of those lucky bridges which it would fit right in with no modification,I have used this product on Yamaha and Alvarez guitars, as well as an Epiphone Jumbo,and from my ears and pickiness, do actually hear a tone improvement. Especially in my Yamaha FG/FS guitars.You may also want to consider updating any bridge saddles and nuts to bone material too, as it makes a difference.

....ich habe u.a. eine Standard Guild Gitarre ( Marley Signature ). Eine sehr schöne schlichte Gitarre. Doch leider machte sie nach einiger Zeit Zicken. Sie schnarrte so das ich fast den Spaß daran verloren habe. Ich habe alles versucht, Hals standardmässig eingestellt, dann höher, wieder niedriger, meine eigene Spieltechnik überprüft, den Hals gecheckt ob verzogen, Bünde gecheckt, Saiten gewechselt und nichts half. Es war alles ok. Also nochmals neue Saiten aufziehen, die originalen Plastik Bridge Pins schön der Reihenfolge abgelegt und dann entdeckte ich bei mir die letztes Jahr bestellten Cocobolo Bridge Pins in meiner Gitarren Wartungskiste. Diese hatte ich mir eigentlich aus optischen Gründen für eine andere Gitarre bestellt aber weil ich die weniger spiele ist ein Seitenwechsel noch nicht nötig gewesen. Diese ausgepackt und in die Bohrung gesteckt. Sie passten alle sechs mit ein bisschen drücken saugend in die Bohrungen. Anschließend nochmal die Plastikpins zum Vergleich reingesteckt. Die paßten auch waren aber ziemlich lose. Ich konnte die so mit der Hand in den Bohrungen drehen was bei den Donner Bridge Pins nicht ging. Also habe ich die Donner Bridge Pins verwendet. Das Ergebnis war sehr erfreulich. Das Schnarren war weg und ich bin der Meinung das sich die Gitarre vom Sustain und auch vom Klang verbessert hat. Optisch sehen die jetzt braunen Bridge Pins, vorher weiß u.a. auch durch den dezenten Farbpunkt sehr gut aus. Ich kann diese Pins sehr empfehlen. Das beigefügte Werkzeug zum lösen der Pins kann man gut gebrauchen. Das beigefügte Schleifpapier musste ich nicht benutzen

Une cheville n'entrait pas complètement dans son logement mais avec le papier à poncer fourni, le problème a été vite réglé. Le rendu visuel est sympa et le rendu sonore me paraît amélioré par rapport aux chevilles en plastique bon marché "d'origine".

We were loaned an acoustic guitar that needed new strings and pins. They fit well and look nice. Worth the money.

Buon prodotto per sostituire i classici pirolini bianchi con il puntino nero centrale. Bell'effetto sul ponte in legno della mia chitarra acustica. Sono leggermente grandi ma nella confezione c'è anche della carta vetrata per limarli.

I recently installed this on my 2 week old Taylor 112ce-s which came stock with black plastic bridge pins.I was not expecting anything tone wise as the stock pins sounded great to my ears already, rather I was after the aesthetics of putting bone pins on my otherwise plain looking guitar. The installation was very starightforward took me less than 10 mins. I was expecting to sand them to fit the holes but to my surprise these came true to fit and no sanding involved. Not sure with other guitar brands but these were a perfect match for a taylor, feels like it was made for it. I tuned my guitar and started strumming and plucking away and was very pleasantly surprised! The guitar noticeably sounded a little better with more clarity.I added a $10 ebony armrest for comfort and boy! I ended up playing my guitar the whole afternoon.Was not expecting much from this 2 cheap upgrades, but it made a significant difference.

Tenía que grabar una línea arpegiada, incluso con una variación para un tema que tiene estar terminado (junto con otros tres) antes de que acabe este mes de agosto del 2023. La guitarra acústica que tengo es una Sire R3 mejor al ojo que al sonido (pocos graves) y un sonido algo chillón (escaso/en medios graves, lo que se suele describir como poco cálido o poco aterciopelado, lo que pasa es que no es una reseña de textil ni de calefacción). Es lo que tengo, no había Cort Earth 200 disponibles y di una oportunidad a esta marca, que tiene tan buena fama porque yo no soy guitarrista desde hace unos 37 años; soy bajista y me he dedicado sobre todo a la restauración digital de música. Si continuara siendo guitarrista de verdad (y no como herramienta de estudio para cuando se necesita); tendría una Furch o una Eastman de las buenas. La guitarra está poco tocada y vi que trasteaba, el puente estaba demasiado bajo y, aunque la acción era comodísima, así no se podía grabar.Así que pedí estos huesos de puente, y, encima, confiando que uno de los que comentan aquí recibió una de 72 mm. de ancho (en vez de los 76 que estaban y están anunciados, justo el ancho del fresado para el hueso de mi Sire.Las recibí ayer y, no; miden 76, ¿y que problema hay?, poco o ninguno, ¿alguien que cambia un hueso de puente y no tiene rudimentos ni utillaje?, de todo ha de haber, claro: En mi escala de valores hay que estar pertrechado de los mínimos, y , si no se sabe quitar cuatro mm. (algo menos) con limas y lijas y redondear, mejor no se toque un instrumento musical, no es que para ser guitarrista haya que ser guitarrero; pero empieza a aflorar (antes no les tenía que leer sus cuitas) una población quejicosa e incapaz, que encima enturbian la calidad de lo que se ofrece aquí en Amazon, que no es tan malo en la mayoría de casos, o incluso es suficiente o bueno, más por el poco dinero que te piden.En rigor, ya que es un puente escalonado/compensado, como la mayoría) el que la distancia al apoyo de las cuerdas correspondiente determinada ligeramente por el ancho, hubiera sido mejor que hubiera recibido un hueso de 72-74; pero lo que va a influir en el quintaje/octavación un diferencia tan escasa puede ser menos que el estado y marca de las cuerdas o la altura del hueso. Los huesos vienen a una altura mucho mayor que la deseable para una acción correcta (como debe de ser) vas lijando y vas probando teniendo la referencia de que la que se tenía antes en cada guitarra. Yo creo que más de uno (entiendo que no la mayoría; pero sí una proporción considerable y preocupante de usuarios) van a colocar el hueso en el fresado si les cabe y si aún habrá que quitar 3 mm de altura, así se va a quedar. Y es que este tipo de productos hay que entregarlos con más ancho; más espesor y más altura que lo que necesitamos, para que haya margen. Los malos no son los fabricantes de estos productos; son los incapaces (y me ahorro el improperio, que no sería sino una atribución justificada a la luz de lo que se lee) que no saben un mínimo, ni de ésto ni de nada. Buena calidad, no lo duden (si son capaces de lijar un poco; si no, vayan a un taller de guitarrería).Hueso del puente: Es de calidad, viene con las medidas y tolerancias que van a posibilitar que valga para el 99% de casos (si no. se hace uno desde cero) y suena mejor que el que tenía, nostas con más sostenimiento y mayor volumen.Valoración 4,9/5 (el 5 se lo reservamos a las de Tusq, que cuestan tres o cuatro veces más también).Lamentablemente, se estropearon tres clavijas de afinación, al colocar el hueso del puente y los pines que me vinieron ayer (de cocobolo, que los cambié porque los que traía eran de plástico del que suena apagado, Frasco, el conocido Despelothier sevillano, ya explica cómo tiene que haber diferencia de sonido a la fuerza, si una cejuela la dejas caer en una superficie y suena o suena a tapa de inodoro, o a balde de PVC. así que, como las virtudes y defectos (pocos defectos o ninguno en el caso de los huesos y los pines) de los tres productos que he comprado este fin de semana chocan con lo mismo, esta reseña va a ir para los tres productos.Los pines estupendos, pues igual que el hueso, un poco más ancho que el fresado de mi puente (que he leído que hay uno que ha fresado un poco más los orificios que tenía; ¿no será más fácil desgastar los pines sin variar el puente?, manda..., Pues eso, que al ser cónicos y necesitan un poco de adelgazamiento; pero por su forma se van a asentar, si adelgazas lo justo y necesario, se quedan con la cabeza y el asiento enrasados con el plano del puente, diez minutos de trabajo, y eso dejándolos suaves y encerados. ¿es mucho trabajo?, ¿qué hace el fabricante?, ¿venderlos delgaditos para que luego se salgan a la primera de cambio?. Este producto (Los pines) es chino, de la marca Donner, muchos se critica a los marquistas y fabricantes chinos como desatentos y de mala calidad, a veces hay cosas que son de una calidad escasa o descritos de forma zafia (cada vez menos); ya quisieran muchos de los que no saben usar un accesorio ser tan finos como estos chinos.Me enfada además que he podido leer la misma crítica negativa respecto a unos pines de ébano en las reseñas de dos productos diferentes (uno es de la marca más conocida). Preferí los de Cocobolo (parece serlo por el polvo/serrín anaranjado al lijar, ojo que esta madera está limitada por el CITES) porque es una madera con un momento de torsión más alto que el ébano. Y, sí, también se notan a favor. Sería muy prolijo valorar un análisis de frecuencias su grado de contribución; pero, además de más bonitos que los que traía mi Sire, ahora hay mejor sonido y graves, los pines influyen poco en ésto; pero un poco puede ser que contribuyan.Valoración de los pines: 5/5.Y llego a las clavijas, ya que comentaba antes que se me habían estropeado tres (que en la vida se me había estropeado una clavija de afinación y tengo mucho escenario en el cuerpo, mucho estudio y muchos años...). ¿Gastaba unos 80-120 euros en una Gotoh o Schaller?, en otro nivel de instrumento seguramente; en una guitarra que me costó en el 2020 260 euros más o menos no. está ni justificado.así que compre este juego de 9,90, y, vale, vienen en una bolsa no en una caja; pero es que cuestan 9,90 euros...Y afinan, y no son tan malos, óptimos claro que no; ni yo lo soy.Afinadores: en calidad objetiva, comparados con unos buenos: 3,9/5 (y ojo, que soy muy exigente y acostumbrado a lo bueno); en relación coste/eficacia: 4/5. Una pena que no hay unos algo mejores de aspecto y precisión por unos 15-20 euros que me hubieran llegado en menos de 24 horas. Ahora, sí, esperando que se asiente la afinación y la tensión del alma y a grabar.

Bought 3 sets to replace my guitars' plastic pins. Much too wide in diameter to fit my Martin OME Cherry, and they were not easy to sand down. The edge of the slot started to chip when sanding. I didn't want to widen the bridge holes, and will be sending back 2 of the 3 sets. I have a Recording King to try them on, and a Larrivee, but I'm not hopeful the remaining set will fit anything i have. Too bad. Pros: They are very nice looking. And the pin puller is a useful tool.

EDITED—Donner reached out and offered me a partial refund since the pins do not fit my guitar. This is more than acceptable to me, as the pin puller alone is a very nice piece of gear. Extremely happy with the Customer Service response from Donner. VERY WELL DONE!!The pins look great, but they do not fit my D'Angelico Premier. Unfortunately, they are so far off that trying to sand them down to fit is just not an option. They would have to be sanded down until they were paper-thin, leaving not enough material to function properly in my estimation. I will hang on to them to try in a couple other acoustics I have laying around when I get the time and motivation. The pin puller, however, is a fantastic piece of kit that is well worth the price of this set by itself.

I had lost a bridge pin while performing a small alteration to the bridge of a 12-string that was priced just a little too low to be believed. I didn't feel like buying 6 more just to get 1 which would match the other 11, and many reviews said that natural wood bridge pins would improve tone. I couldn't say I noticed a difference, as I was far more concerned with correcting intonation problems. These pins have attractive mother of pearl dots which I like to imagine go well with the inlay of the head stock. That is, if anyone could ever see them both at the same time. And since no one has offered to buy me a cocobolo desk, at least I could start by buying myself cocobolo bridge pins. These pins come with a piece of sand paper in case irregularities in the wood need to be taken care of, but mine all fit perfectly. I guess I'll put the little wrenches that came with 2 sets of pins in two different guitar cases. They work fine, but not really any better than a spoon or a pair of pliers.
