Worked well for my shoulder surgery but had to put cushioning in elbow area and used a wrist sweatband on wrist because of stitching

It was ok, for the price. It was easy to use but it didn't keep my arm/shoulder secured good enough.

This stabilizer sling, worn to ease the wearer through post shoulder surgery, is far more comfortable then the one I was given at the hospital following surgery. However, the mechanism that enables you to release the sling when you need to take it off requires far more strength than I have in either hand. I had to return it.

I bought and tried a few others including the Donjoy Pro and this UltraSling III was my favorite. For rotator cuff surgery I wanted a simple sling with easy connectors that I can remove and reattach without assistance and the others were too unnecessarily complicated with extra parts and annoying velcro that sticks to everything. After surgery you don't want a fight to put on your sling. If you want a smooth and quick process this model is it. The support is great without the weight and the straps are no discomfort. Sure, I wish the shoulder strap and neoprene pad stayed aligned better, but it's no dealbreaker. I'm two weeks post-surgery wearing this sling 24/7 on my good arm and removing and reattaching is a breeze using my clumsy left arm. Just do so while seated on an armless chair, bench, or bed using your lap as a table and practice once before surgery.

There is crease (raised abnormality) in material where my wrist fits in the sling. This crease (which I didn’t initially feel due to having a nerve block in place after shoulder surgery) caused my hand and fingers to go numb and turn white and blue due to the pressure on my nerves running through my wrist. This condition was quite scary and is now still resolving at five months post op.

My son had shoulder surgery and the orthopedic office tried to sell us this exact same sling for twice as much. Needless to say, we did not purchase it from them. The sling works great. It kept his arm steady and supported well.

This product was just what the doctor ordered. I recently had surgery to repair a torn rotator cup and was in a sling for 4 weeks and to ensure that I didn't move my shoulder from my body& to be able to sleep comfortably, my doctor recommended that I sleep in a recliner or with my back propped up by pillows. This product was easy to assemble, it was very comfortable it is served its purpose.I will recommend this product to anyone who may have back problems or need to sleep with their legs elevated because this product allow me to sleep much better during my recovery process and also help alleviate a lot of the pain that I was having in my lower back when trying to read and/or sleep.

My husband fell 7 weeks ago dislocating his shoulder and eventually having to have surgery a month after. My daughter scoffed at the flimsy sling the ER put on her dad before sending him home. She found this online almost immediately and strongly recommended that we get one for my husband. She has a genetic disorder which often results in joints dislocating with or without provocation; consequently, she has high quality braces, supports, slings, etc for nearly every joint and really does know what she's talking about when it comes to supporting injuries. This DonJoy brace has given my husband much more comfort than the flimsy ER sling. My daughter helped us adjust the straps and showed us how to get him into and out of the sling with a minimal amount of movement. The orthopaedic specialists were impressed when we first met with them (several weeks after the initial injury!) as this is the exact sling they use with their surgery patients! He still is uncomfortable and is facing the possibility of shoulder replacement, but having a well-made, well-designed sling is helping to keep his discomfort to a minimum.
