I was looking for a towel bar that would not cause issues installing behind a bathroom door. This workedgreat does not stick out too much and easy to put together. This is coming from someone who does notread directions or put much together. Highly recommend!

I found a great quality non-name brand 24 inch towel bar on Vine in 2023 from KLJKPA in matte black finish, and was really sad that it became unavailable by the time I realized I needed to order and pay cash for another one (I required 2 of them, for a bathroom remodel where i was getting rid of old polished brass fixtures & accessories). I'm pretty certain but not 100% sure that it had retailed in the 15-20 dollar range. Then I lucked-out and found the exact same product a year later (in January 2025); same manufacturer but different product page, selling the item for $9.99 (normally $16). They'd created a new product page with different finish options INCLUDING matte black, but for some reason the old product page link was still active, listing the matte black towel bar as "currently unavailable." So I ordered a new one, and upon it's arrival I was finally able to put the last touches on that bathroom I'd been working on.Here's the link so you can really compare it's pictures to this one's, since my photos in this review emphasize one specific detail and do not show the whole product:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7M6CY5J?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1I needed a stainless steel towel bar of the same size for a different bathroom; I saw this DOKU HOME one pop up on vine, looking almost identical to the two matte black ones I was so happy with, so I ordered it. It retails at the 10 dollar price point (currently on sale for 7.99), very similar to the matte black ones I already own.The packaging was literally identical (instructions & pictures, etc) to that of the KLJKPA product, but once removed from the package I quickly realized that this towel bar was NOT the same: The brackets that attach to the wall AND the arms that extend about 3 inches outwards (to the rod itself) are THIN and much more cheaply built, and the edges of those brackets and arms are SHARP instead of being well-honed. I tried to capture that thinness in my pictures, but the product page pictures of this towel bar (when compared/contrasted with the pictures in the link above) should more clearly define both the differences and similarities between the two towel bars. This DOKU towel bar is not awful. However, in comparison to the similarly priced towel bar that looks almost identical in its construction, this product is clearly inferior for the reasons stated above, and for that I've given it a sub-average rating. On their updated product page, the KLJKPA towel bar is now available in a stainless steel/satin nickel finish. At only the mid-teens price point, purchasing one of those to replace this DOKU towel bar is an absolute no-brainer, despite the fact that such a project will require some hole filling and re-drilling (the nail holes on the brackets are a tiny bit differently spaced).Relative to what you can get for just a tiny bit more (like less than the cost of one lunch), I'll happily give-away this inferior product, or mount it in the shop where it might serve some utilitarian purpose that I've yet to figure out.
