My senior border collie (13 years old) has arthritis in both of her back hips, one worse than the other. I have tile or laminate/hardwood throughout 90% of my home (aside from my steps) she she was having an increasingly hard time getting around as she would just baby deer all around the house. She is on many medications to manage her pain but nothing was help give her confidence back and easing the pain she was having from having to get back up after falling, until I found these socks. The first time I put them on her, I started with only her back paws, which was where she was having the most issues with stability, she walked around in a couple circles and seemed to immediately understand that they were helping her. She now has so much confidence and is so much happier bouncing around the house again. She no longer slides and I have these socks to thank for that.I have noticed a review on here stating that they are not long enough or that they do not stay on. I have found neither of these to be the case for us. Their length is more than adequate in my opinion and as for them falling off, I have no had this issue. I bought her the Large, she is 45 lbs, while these initially fit great, I do find that over time they stretched & became more loose, needing to be adjusted more often. That being said, the velcro helps immensely and I have only ever once found one sock that fell off and I think it had just gotten caught up and pulled off.

We ordered a L and prob should have gotten an XL. These are a life saver. Our old guy was slipping all over the floor before we bought these. The strap will hold them on his foot without being tightened too much. The 360* grippy pattern helped him stay stable even when they rotated a little around his foot. The fabric is high quality and as well as the stitching. This is a high quality product and worth the expense 100x over. Couldn’t be more pleased!

I'm really pleased with the quality and practicality of the DOK TigerToes Premium Non-Slip Dog Socks that I recently bought for my dog! My dog's tendency to slip has always been an issue, especially as he ages, but these socks give him great traction on my hardwood flooring. The cloth seems soft yet sturdy, and they fit my medium-to-large breed nicely . It took a little while for my dog to adjust to them, but he now appears much more comfortable moving around the home.Overall, if you have a dog that needs paw protection or a floor that is slippery, I recommend these socks.

My old pup is having some hip and back lameness and was unable to hold himself steady while walking or eating/drinking. These socks have helped him keep his balance and not slide out. My only "issue" with these is how we need to use them. Being that he needs them on all the time, he started to develop a sore/hot spot on one foot. Having one sock on his back feet, and switching the sock to the other foot every few days seems to be the only solution. They are also a bit tricky to get on, but once on they stay in pretty well.

My older dog (14) had been having problems getting to her feet on our hardwood floors and these have completely solved the problem. She's also started to walk around my bedroom at stages during the night and these make her footsteps silent on the hardwood floor, an added bonus I wasn't expecting. She also seems totally unaware of them on her feet so they must be comfy for her. They get a little baggy and stretched when she got them wet but returned to normal once I dried them. I'll be getting her some spares .

Our senior dog (pointer/lab mix) developed pretty bad arthritis in his back legs that started to cause his back legs to splay out from under him whenever he tried walking on our hard floors. It was heartbreaking. I ordered a couple of other leg braces and harnesses that were supposed to help stabilize his legs, but they all either fit badly or he couldn't sit/lay comfortably when wearing them. Decided to try these out as a last ditch effort to help him out. In less than 2 minutes after getting them on his back feet he was back on his feet and moving around safely and no more issues with his legs giving out.SIZING: His front paws measured out to XL on the chart and his rear feet measured out under the Large size, so we initially ordered Large. They did fit, but it was a challenge to get them on and the grip part didn't seem to extend back far enough to cover his whole foot. They worked fine, but did need to be adjusted several times a day. I decided to order a pair of the XL to try. The fit was not as tight, but the larger size (XL) provides a bigger grip surface, and they seem to be less prone to working their way down. If you're unsure, order a larger size.DURABILITY: Other reviews mention holes and things as a concern. Our whole house has hard surface floors, so we put them on him first thing in the morning and he wears them all day till bed including when he goes out into the yard to do his business. He wore the first pair for two weeks straight without any signs of significant wear or damage. Another review mentions the Velcro causing holes. They are knit socks, so yes, if you're not paying attention and let the strap adhere to the sock they will stick, and can cause a rip/hole, but the strap is long enough and sturdy enough that there's no reason that will happen unless you're just not careful when putting the socks on and off. The top sock part does stretch out with repeated use so they do slouch down over time, but that's to be expected. They're grippy socks. For dogs. With proper care these things seem like you'll be able to get a month or more of wear out of each pair easily.DESIGN: The listing states that the pattern of the grip makes these superior to other types of similar products because the grip on the foot part is designed in such a way that even if they rotate on the foot (they will) they still provide the same grip coverage. This is 100% accurate and really part of what makes these so effective. No matter how they are on the foot, the grip is always available to provide contact for the paw to grip.COMFORT: I mean I'm not wearing them, but all signs point to satisfaction. Our guy walked funny for a few steps when they first went on, but in 2 minutes he was more excited that he could walk without falling and was back to his old ways. He's never chewed them or picked at them. Doesn't mind them one bit. Now he'll wait in the morning for me to come and put them on him before he'll even attempt to navigate to the back door.EASE OF USE: It takes a hot minute to get the hang of putting them on. The instructions provided are helpful. Our guy is pretty laid back so he'll let you do whatever you need to do. Once they're on though they do stay put. You just have to work out getting the strap around at the best point on the foot and right tightness to keep them in place. Easier that putting on a pair of human compression socks, harder than putting on your gym socks, and definitely impacted by the willingness of your dog to cooperate. They're grippy socks. For dogs.PRICING: No complaints. At about $9 a pair, if I get a month out of them I'm satisfied! They're grippy socks. For dogs.

We bought these socks for our golden retriever after we had our hardwood floors resurfaced. Our contractor recommended that our dog wear socks for at least 30 days while the coating on the hardwoods cures. Here's our impression after four weeks of use and wear:Pros:- They're easy to put on the dog, because they're stretchy, they have treads all over (such that there isn't just "one way" to put them on), and the Velcro is sewn on to the socks so you don't lose or fumble around with the Velcro strap.- Because the socks are stretchy, one size fits all four of our dog’s feet. We tried some more-durable, “formed” dog shoes, and we discovered that our dog’s back feet were a full size smaller than its front feet, such that the shoes were too big for the back feet and would fall off easily. That isn’t an issue or problem with these socks.- Unlike some other socks, the Velcro hooks face inward and thus cling to the socks. We’ve bought some other socks and shoes in which the Velcro hooks face outward, and with those, the hooks often cling to a rug or mat when the dog lays down, which can fray the rug or mat and sometimes pull the sock off of the dog's foot.- They're apparently comfortable for the dog, and our dog adapted to them very quickly.- They provide the dog with ample traction on the slippery, newly refinished floors.- They protect the floors from the dog's nails.Cons:-They're flimsy and disintegrate easily. The lower half of the sock (with the treads) wears and develops holes quickly even with mild indoor-only use. It develops holes pretty quickly from the inside of the socks from the dog’s nails, even though we keep our dog’s nails trimmed. If the dog feels an itch in her paw and tries to mouth or gnaw it (as dogs do), the sock develops holes quickly and with no real "chewing." We solved that issue by spraying "bitter apple" on the socks, but it requires a lot of bitter apple to spray the front and back of four socks, and that adds to the overall expense of the socks. To my surprise, the package for these socks suggests that the socks are suitable for use on pavement. We haven't purposely used these socks outside or on pavement. But on one occasion, when I was putting the socks on our dog in our garage, she escaped and scampered around outside on the pavement for a few minutes. By the time that I corralled her, the bottom half of the two socks that she was wearing were totally decimated. If you're thinking about using these socks on your dog outside, I'd think that these socks would deteriorate very quickly on pavement, even during a basic walk.- They're expensive and a terrible value over time. Because of the issues described above, we've gone through *six sets* of these over just *four weeks.* If we were inclined to have our dog wear socks on our hardwoods permanently or during a longer period, the expense of these socks (particularly when you include the expense of dousing them with bitter apple) would not be sustainable for us.Bottom line, I think these are a great product for very-short-term indoor use. Unless you have tons of cash to spend on dog socks, I do not recommend these socks for longer-term indoor use. (I’m still searching for my long-term solution!) I would not recommend them at all for outdoor walks on pavement.
