Definitely hard and durable. Dogs still have them now and I bought these like 6 months ago at least, maybe even longer. Dogs chew on them, want to play tug of war with them. The price per rope was way better than other places. They don't smell or anything g weird (not sure why that was a idea). All and all I would recommend them if your looking for a new toy for your dog.

It hasn't broke or tore. My dog loves it and it's nice and long so no one will get bit playing tug of war. He's a big boy, so it's great.

My pitty loves it. He normally sheds these ropes in 2 days. Not this one. This one seems to be tough and strong. I will be real happy if it lasts a month or two. I think it will!

Got it for my cattle dog. Very durable. Has. Weight to it. Made for larger brews dogs ( Rottweiler, Doberman, and etc) but big enough to be durable for destructive dogs like my cattle dog. Light enough to play tug of war.

If you have a dog that tries to undo those knots like mine dies this is the ripe you need. My dog Luke's to be swung around by the rope while airborne. This rope is a weapon if your dog likes swinging around. If you get hit wuth one of those knots it hurts. You can't beat the Price. To be honest I would pay more for this quality of rope. It is the only that has stuck around . My dog is hard on toys!! Totally over the moon!!

Great rope toy for 7 month old puppy that needs to keep something in his mouth to avoid biting. The strands have held together well.
