This is a good document camera. I use it to teach. I just need to learn how to make it zoom in and out. Good quality.

I'd give this six stars if I could. I teach at two universities and a high school, and I needed a document camera to replace the classroom whiteboard, as I have some injuries which make being on my feet in the classroom very painful. With this camera, I sit at my lectern, keep a stack of paper under the camera and write on that, which then goes through my laptop to the room's projector, for students to read. This has saved a lot of wear and tear on my back and knee. The best thing about this camera is that, when you choose 'capture' from its menu, a little box that you can minimize and maximize appears, so the camera capture stays either in one small corner of the screen while you are showing other documents and you just drag it out to maximize when you want to write with it. I didn't even know it would do that when I ordered it, but that is exactly what I wanted. I haven't tried out its other features, such as recording or using as a web cam, but for me, this does exactly what I need it to do and I couldn't be more pleased. My only complaints would be that there are no instructions on how to use its menu; I learned what I needed by trial and error, and was frustrated at first. Also, because of the heavy--but sturdy-- base, it's not the most-portable friendly for carrying in a computer bag, but it does fit okay in my bag.You do have to go to the company's website to install it, but as I recall, I did so without any problem.

I use this for my elementary school classes. Download the free IPEVO Visualizer app and once you play a bit, you are ready to go. This was a good investment for me and it is used daily.

This is a well-designed and sturdy document camera with good picture quality. It has a swivel arm that's easy and quick to a position just at the right angle that I need towards the object. Being 8MP it has an excellent quality picture that is great for sharing documents or doing presentations. Everything comes through clearly. The autofocus on this unit works rapidly with any document I put below it.I like that it has a built-in LED light, so I can use it in just about any lighting conditions. The cam is compatible with all the major cloud meeting platforms, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Google Meet, Facetime and more. It also comes with software that works well for distance education and web conferencing. Overall, this is a good document camera for those looking for a unit that is sturdy, well designed and has a great image quality. Full marks from me!

This is an excellent video camera that can be used as a document scanner and webcam. It has a compact sturdy design that is easy to work with. The simplified controls are easy to use and logically placed. Windows 10 detected it immediately, there was no need to install drivers. It captures very clear images of documents, people and objects. The camera has an integrated LED light that works perfectly to supplement lighting in darker environments. The overall quality and performance on this camera is excellent. It's a perfect versatile camera that works exactly as described.

The camera can certainly be used in different ways, and for the most part, it works well. Windows native camera app works well with it, as does XSplit and OBS Studio. There was no driver installation required and no other technical expertise to make it work. It's pretty much plug-and-play.While designed for users to scan documents or present them in a video conference, it also works ok as a webcam. The only difficulty I've had with it is accommodating the rather large base. It's six inches tall and 1 1/2 inches tall. It takes up a fair bit of desktop, which might be ok on a desk with nothing else on it, but on my workstation, I end up needing to reposition and remove some items in order to have it sit where needed, especially when using it as a webcam. The arm is like those used on bench magnifying kits, just a little shorter. It snaps into the base and then stays locked. There is a lot of effort required to pull it back out in case it needs to be stored disassembled. There are thumb screws at the mid-arm point and then at the camera itself. When snugged up, the arm stays put.Having a light ring with different levels of lighting is a nice addon. It does eliminate the need for other lights, and for viewing documents, it's a big bonus. While it works well for documents, I find it doesn't have enough output to be really useful when used as a webcam. Typically we sit further than 12 to 20 inches away from the camera doing online meetings, so the light just doesn't have enough oomph to light up people in a darker room. The autofocus can, at times, be a little wonky. While sitting in the same potion and not moving the document, it will often try to find a better focal point. A second or two later, it returns to where it was, but this occasional random search can be annoying. It does the same thing when used as a webcam, but there I can expect this to happen as I am not sitting perfectly still all the time. There is a rear-mounted button that can be used to make the camera refocus, but there is no manually setting where the focal point is. One item to note, when using it as a webcam, the field of view is rather narrow so trying to get even two people into the picture means sitting close together.I do like being able to get very close to something, down to 10cm, which allows me to show others some more intricate aspects when looking at circuit boards or the inside of an old wind-up watch.

I tested this camera with a test document that I printed. I used the Windows camera app to take a photo of it. I selected the document icon and took the picture. I was able to convert it back to text accurately using OCR. The detail is impressive. The ring light was effective for the document. While the background of the document appeared a bit on the gray side, it had no impact when it came to converting the image to text. This is truly a plug and play camera which I really appreciated as I did not have to download software to operate the camera. For web conferencing, the camera works very well. I have a well lit office so I do not need the ring light to be on. In fact, I found the ring light bothered my eyes. In any case the image is very detailed. The resolution is excellent. This camera allows for quick and easy information sharing while doubling as a scanner. An extra benefit compared to a flat bed scanner, in addition to the small foot print, is that you can take pictures of three dimensional objects and easily share those. For privacy and security when not in use simply unplug it or create a hood to go over it when it is not in use. There is no indicator on the camera to let the user know if it is on or off. This is a good quality versatile camera but value will depend on your specific needs and convenience factors. I found this camera meets my needs to a high degree.

I connected the camera to my Windows 10 laptop and fired up the Windows Camera app to test out the quality of the video feed and was impressed right away. The sharpness of the image is really good, motion is fluid, colour rendering is good and it works well even at low light levels without even needing to use the built in light. It's easily one of the better quality webcams we have in the house in terms of raw ability, the only complaint is that the video can have a bit more noise in it than I would have liked to see but it can be reduced a lot with some post processing. So what's the big problem? Well, they seem to have mixed up how they implement the standard camera HID driver interface, at least on Windows. This is going to be a big problem. For example, the Zoom client has controls to set "HD" video quality, but that's all you get... and it does nothing. It looks awful there is no way to make it better. The result is on Zoom, this camera is stuck at the lowest quality and there seems to be no way to fix it. I tried also in Google Meet and it was the same thing, just awful video quality no matter what video quality settings are set... it only looks good in the Camera app, no video conferencing software I tried worked properly. Even tried it on a different machine and got the same results. The device itself is rather cheaply built, all cheap plastics except for the articulating arm, nothing really feels "quality" about it it just feels... cheap. Even the base was put together poorly, where someone couldn't have even been bothered to properly center the adhesive bottom cover.So... raw quality of the camera is actually great. The light is decently bright and the focus system seems to work really well. But it absolutely does not work correctly in Zoom, at least on Windows, and doesn't look or feel like something representative of the price.

One of the best purchases this music teacher has made. I use it to highlight areas we're working on, write in fingerings, and other important notations. It is a "go to" item during every class. Very flexible, and easy to use. Highly recommended!

Very easy to set up. I did have to download an app for MAC so that I could use it in ZOOM. But it does a good job.

I was able to download and install the software for this document viewer, and was able to load it on my Mac, with no problems. The trouble started when I went about using the software. While I was able to zoom in on what I was viewing, clicking camera to take a snapshot did not work as, no matter the magnification, the photo came out the same resolution. BTW, the original location of images in inside the app package. You can set the location where the images are saved by going to settings on the right hand side of the application window. Make sure to put the photos in a folder that does not require OS X to give permission as, otherwise, the photos won't save. I note that there are + and - buttons on the camera itself but they do not seem to affect the zoom level, so I guess they just don't work. Finally, when you zoom via the software, the image in the software is quite grainy so I guess it would not be useful even if it did save at the resolution depicted on the screen. All in all, this document viewer is a big disappointment.
